leon Burns was probably the biggest disappointments I can recall. On paper he had it all but just couldn’t adapt. Culminating in buying that absolute cart horse Keith Scott from Wycombe.

That was his problem, no respect for the level of football - think he thought it’d be a cakewalk and able to play your way out against “lesser” teams

Snowflake RoyaltmesisSnowflake Royal People seem to forget that Madejski left Howe in charge for the Burns debacle and that he was around for the similarly awful tenure of Zingarevich. And previously worked with that spawn of Satan Samuelson with that.
He's far from spotless.
Burns was an odd one, as he always came across really well. His lack of experience at Reading's level was disastrous though, overestimating the price of signings, and underestimating the ability level needed. The local radio commentator at the time (was it Dellor back then?) said once that you could talk to him, and he could tell you in detail where the team's faults were. He just didn't know how to fix them. I'd say Burns was the most popular terrible manager we had.
Definitely pre-Dellor. Might have even been pre-Joel Hufford, who unlike Dellor was brilliant.

Mid Sussex Royal Nothing posted on Twitter by Dellor or anyone else.
I was at the game so obvs don't know if anything was said on air but if it was I'd expect some twitter comment.
FWIW Bowen told fans in the away end he was doing all he could to sort a deal (this is third or fourth hand though)

Elm Park Kid Yeah, I heard from my source yesterday (who's been accurate so far this season) that the takeover is going nowhere. Dai is sabotaging every deal.
