windermereROYAL 4 points clear but vale have 3 games in hand.

Right now it's about getting points on the board. I think Port Vale will stay up anyway. Especially with their managerial appointment. We should be focusing on Shrewsbury and Burton who I think are likely to be right down there.

Bristol Paul Fair result, last ten minutes we panicked like buggery and gave it away time and time again. WiFi awful. Hope Smiths ok for Saturday.

Correct cost us two points.

Wifi wasn’t reliable today, kept screwing up at crucial moments although didn’t have a bearing on the game. Neither was Wifi though and sadly that did.

Disappointing as it is though, can’t fault an away draw.

NathStPaul
Royal_jimmy 2 points dropped. Better side and should have won

We weren't the better side. HTH.

Agree, we weren’t.

Lot of moaning about nothing.

A point away from home in this division is a good result.

Headless chickens. What a waste.
Many opportunities to calmly clear and create an attack, but boot it anywhere in blind panic seemed the order of the day.
Pretty obvious that you can’t play like that for the last ten minutes of a game and not expect relentless attack from the opposition.

Oh, do you think Selles can explain the offside rule to Ehibhatiomhan at some point?

A win (!) on Saturday gives Reading a chance to get above Wycombe and Wigan in the table.

Games in hand for teams below Reading:

Port Vale have 3 games in hand and are 5 points behind
Cambridge have 2 games in hand and are equal on points
Burton have 1 game in hand and are equal on points
Cheltenham have 2 games in hand and are 6 points behind
Carlisle have 1 game in hand and are 15 points behind

Mukairu and Ehibatiomhan were doing some sort of weird Vanarama double act tonight.
Bringing on Monlouis in that situation and when he's not a RB is crazy.
Elliott was atrocious.
Balance of the game it's a point gained, but the circumstances of them equalising were a really annoying throwback to early season late capitulations.

I think the players on at the end reflect how light our squad is on numbers as much as anything. I always feared the number of games in this run would catch up with us.

My only hope is that that's a one off 95th minute goal conceded and it doesn’t trigger confidence issues and a return to the early season days. We weren't great but I thought we'd see it out.

Waiting for word on Yiadom, Smith and now Dorsett, plus Mbengue was limping at the end there. We've been uncharacteristically healthy for too long.

Just back, I thought we deserved the win and the late goal feels like a loss, particularly as Wifi should have made it 2-0.

Fleetwood were an odd team, a lot of short players and a short keeper but two big centre halfs who won everything. Decent turn out, Fleetwood is what you'd expect although one benefit is street parking practically outside the ground.

I'm not going back tonight, but I did come through an inordinate amount of roadworks on the A585 and the M6, and if anyone's travelling back to Reading the M6 is closed at Ashton J22 and M5 at Jn2. It'll be a long journey back.

and whilst Selles is at it, also the useless lino. the guy with the first header was 2 yards offside and even helped the official by being goalside of the 6 yard box whilst everyone else was beyond the line.

It was closer than that, two Reading players on the back post possibly playing him on, fairly and squarely on young Elliot`s shoulders I`m afraid. if he`d connected properly it`s three points.
Small margins and all that.

From the drab first half onwards, that had the tedious inevitability of an unloved injury time equaliser that does neither side any good.

Second half we did enough to maybe win, extra time we took all that back.

His strength is with the ball at his feet facing goal.

It's completely predictable that he struggled upfront in Selles' system trying to be Smith. Even Smith isn't having much impact on games because we give him so little to work with, banging the ball up for two bigger, stronger CBs to win.

Clearly offside. How'd the lino miss that?
