Royals and Racers F-T 1-0 we are not quite assured of survival yet but Lewes playing at the moment have to win to have any chance of staying up.
Edit Lewes losing 2-0
Lewes lost 2-0
ROYALS SAFE- Palace champions and promoted to WSL

And if, as looks very likely, Bristol City get relegated, then WSL 1 next season could very likely only comprise women's teams that are linked to EPL clubs! The first time in the league's history I believe?

The EPL clubs continue to further detach themselves from the rest of the football pyramid in this country.

Expect Newcastle women with their resources to smash through the Championship and make it a hat trick of promotions. Hopefully we can strengthen with the takeover as it'll be a tough division.

We suffered this season because we lost so many experienced, good quality players. Fortunately the youngsters are now coming on strong, so if we can add a few experienced heads as well we should be able to more than hold our own, although with only one promotion spot up for grab each season it will be tough to get back to WSL1.

Nice to see Kelly Chambers tweeting to celebrate our survival and stating that the players/women's setup deserve so much better.

Fran Kirby has announced she's leaving Chelsea. Lots of "hope she's coming back to Reading" chatter on Twitter.

Disappointing yet not surprising given the mess Dai has left the women's setup in.

Professional women's soccer (football) is really set to take off big time in the the US. NWSL has signed up to a big multi-year deal with Amazon Prime, whilst the new USL Women's Super League (starting up in August this year) has just signed a TV deal with Peacock,

Looks like the US have finally realised that they've allowed the development of their domestic women's game to fall behind the rapid growth seen in Europe, particularly England, and are working hard to rectify that.

Given all of those factors, it's little wonder that Brooke has decided to return to the US for the final years of her career.

Shameful. Dai is such an utter pcunt. Watching them punch above their weight for so long brought real pride.

Sky reporting no training kits have been ordered for the new season, doesn't look good.

It doesn't. Don't think the potential new owner of the club wants a women's team. So sounds like the womens team is done for sadly.

Shame they can't keep it going in some fashion, "managed decline" if you will.

On the other hand suggests the sale is still on if they're calling the shots.

There is absolutely nothing in the public domain that suggests this is the call of incoming owners. It could be them, but far more likely it's Dai and Pang deciding what to cut in order to keep the lights on.

Today I listened to the BBCRB interview with Charlie Estcourt.

The way the owners and business managers (that includes Bookies Bowen) have treated the women is absolutely disgusting. They've all been left hung out to dry with contracts expiring at the end of June and with absolutely zero communication from the club. What little they have heard appears to have been through the recent media reports like the rest of us,

It looks like come July the senior players will be left with no club and no salary. That probably applies to all of the coaches and support staff too. It's shameful that the club and footballing authorities have allowed the situation to develop and for decent people to be treated in this manner.

The club that now bears the Reading FC name is not the club that I have supported through thick and thin for countless decades. It's been like watching a loved one slowly die and I'm now getting to the point where I'm becoming reconciled to the eventual departure of our ways.

This is what you get when something stinks in negotiation land. Just what the **** is going on and why is it seemingly taking so long for a certain person to wise-up?

Not in the public domain, no.
