Narin's share is something stupid like <1% IIRC.

First of all I’m not going to get carried away by a tenuous suggestion that he might be the new owner….
IF he is and IF he’s buying 80% could this be an away of bridging a gap between valuations ?
Possible that he’s buying 80% now at HIS valuation with an option on the rest based on promotion / financial performance / whatever at potentially a higher valuation.
Still gives him full control but allows Dai the chance to make a bit more on the deal.

indeed, Dai deserves to get the best price he can, and if this is his way of doing it then fair pay to him.

Nice trolling Brogue.

Have there been any concrete links between Chiron and Couhig?
Maybe John Textor is purchasing 80% and Couhig is fronting but investing the other 20%?

Not entirely sure most Reading fans would be with you there….

the man has pumped more money into this club than all our other owners combined, only fair he seeks a return. If fans cant appreicate that then i would say thats a somewhat selffish view to take.

Have you considered that a lot of the money might not have been Dai's own to spend.........

As has been pointed out, that's certainly one unique way to look at it

Isn't the mooted 10 days to complete up this weekend, therefore hoping for some positive silence (as that is the general way they communicate with fans) from the club on Monday or Tuesday. Moreover, expecting the usual spurious tweets to break out on the X just beforehand.

I think we can anticipate another 6 weeks of this from brogue as the kids drive him ever closer to the brink.

Well Couhig has just tweeted something about purchasing a royals tv pass. Odd but must surely be a good sign

Or that in those mad few weeks when signing the likes of Puscas and Joao etc and putting the likes of Moore on 35kpw, the red flags were flying around this board having calculated we has trashed ffp in a matter of days....and that if we didnt go up we were f*cked.

@RCouhig Well, that’s sorted. Royals tv package purchased. Should be quality preparation for the season. Anxious to see the boys in action.

With all the deafening silence there’s been from the club about the takeover this seems a bit of an odd thing to do of it’s not a done deal yet.

Maybe it’s his way of alleviating fans fears or putting a bit of pressure on the EFL to give their approval of the takeover.

In principle selling the club to new owners sounds easy. Actually striking a deal that's acceptable to all parties involved is probably far more complex. The training complex is financially a huge white elephant for one. Nice to have. But totally out of kilter with a middle table L1 side.

Though quite possibly it’s the training ground that Couhig is most interested in

Surely not now he knows he can't sell it from underneath us.

He could, as the new owner of the football club, request an amendment to the covenant
No guarantees it would be granted, but it’s possible

Perhaps SBWR (Sell Before We're Robbed) should form now just in case.

He could.
But it does seem a complicated and expensive way of acquiring an asset he could have bought easily just a few months ago.

It's dragged on so so so long. First home game with a new owner will make the ground rock.
