Primus and McPherson a bit out of place in that side of dubious quality.

He was quite hit and miss, fell away quite a lot in his last season or so, and he was never a wing back, as that line up suggests he was playing.

On his day at his peak he was great.

I remember games against Stockport in the 90's, and particularly an envy of their striker, Kevin Francis. At the time I thought he was immense, and always played well against us.

There was a clip, and I think it may have been Saint and Greavsie, where Kevin Francis set himself up. Out wide, he booted the ball up and high, very high, it sails into the box and he headed his own cross home.

The Stockport side of 1993/94 with Francis in it when we one the league under McGhee was decent, Andy Preece played alongside Francis and was the perfect foil, nippy and skillfull. Think they may have missded out in the play offs but did go up a couple of years later.

Shame I'm back down south now or I'd have gone to this for sure. Might not get a better chance for some time either because as others have said this would have sold out quick time if it was a Saturday game. Probably before silver LOLoyalty as well.

850 tickets seems a bit tight from them, would that be the same allocation for a Saturday? Although seeing as their ground holds a little under 11,000 I can't see them giving much more than 1000 tickets to any away club.

Their form hasn't been great recently whereas ours could hardly be better for this but last time I said I was confident of an away win was Rotherham and we know what happened there. The only game we haven't won in the last 6. So I will keep my mouth shut. Then again it works both ways cause I wasn't that confident for the Exeter game and we know what happened there.

Anyway I'll be watching (and hopefully enjoying) this one on another free stream tonight instead of being there. Hope the Berkshire boys have a good night (the ones on the pitch and off of it).

IIRC, there’s about 500 seats behind the goal (uncovered) which is often given to away fans in addition to the roughly 850 we’ve been given for tonight.

I imagine we would’ve been given those seats too and had a much more typical 1,350 allocation.

EDIT - Bolton only got 844 tickets for their upcoming game and don’t appear to have got more. Don’t know what the minimum percentage is.

EDIT 2 - Apparently that end behind the goal holds 1,560 (looks smaller) and was the standard away end until recently. Not sure why it has changed.

Assuming that's the actual team, it's nice to see Selles really putting together a plan for away matches and not just plugging along doing the same thing as at home and hoping form will change.

I wouldn’t necessarily agree with all of it. But that front 5 certainly looks the most capable of pressing high, and Wareham hopefully encourages us to play forward to feet or space more , rather than banging it up to Smith's head/chest against two big CBs.

I read somewhere a few years ago that the minimum percentage for an away allocation is whichever figure is lower out of 3000 and 10% of overall ground capacity. Clearly this doesn't seem to be the case here, although this is the first instance I can remember where that rule hasn't seemingly applied, hence why I've just assumed it was true.

That is the actual team, yes.

Some of it looks enforced with Smith not in the squad at all, but Wareham and Akande are clearly being treated as proper first team players now (and not just filling vacant places).

Gives Selles the ability to adjust things for these sort of games.

I wonder if we’ll see Ehib centrally tonight off the bench with Smith absent.
