Snowflake Royal Should be 3, straight at the keeper with a free header from Smith

I expected an onslaught, but we've had all the chances this half. They have barely laid a glove on us.

Still plenty of time to mess it up, but would be a massive example of throwing a game we deserved to win.

We've done well so far - we just need to keep our heads.

Elliott's effort cleared off the line after some good play from Wareham to keep the ball in after a poor back-pass - sounds like the surface water is having an impact now.

Probably should have scored that too. Keeper in the way of Elliott's shot.

Big moment from Pereira to keep at 2-0 at the end. Great keeper at this level

I've been wondering where to post this but I was finally getting around to reading an old copy of FourFourTwo this week (Nov 2021 I think) and there was Best/Worst article from a Hearts fan who picked out Pereira as their worst player of all time from a loan period during his time at Man Ure. "Hands like papadums" apparently. It made me wonder if that young goalie we had from Everton on loan recently that barely got a game might come good one day...

It's possible - although he'd have to actually play some matches at some point. I think he was only brought in because he was the cheapest option whilst we had an embargo, he obviously fell out of the side once Rafael was signed; we did still have Sam Walker at the time though, who was better than Virginia at that point, and a 22-year old Luke Southwood waiting for his first start. They must've thought he was better than he actually turned out to be.

Hopefully a certain young keeper currently at Reading can have a redemption arc.

felt like we thought we could unearth another Martinez.

If we go deep cut, who is the Arsenal keeper when we lost 7-5 in the cup ?

Clyde1998 Mbengue's hobbling about. I would though my earlier suggestion of Dorsett to left centre-back and Garcia at left-back was about to occur, but seems Kanu is coming on!

Sod! Mbengue is the only one who can catch Jade-Jones! Kanu not been the greatest in games I’ve seen.

Thought he was excellent in preseason but really dodgy in that cup tie

Tbf hardly any of our players who come in and have ‘ready’ and they’ve just had to do their best to get there

We’ve never lost 7-5 at Arsenal.

Although obviously Martinez played in The game at the Madejski.

In my defence*, I watched that one in a bar somewhere in the Left Bank.

*it's not a defence.
