There's some players during their career who you hate on the pitch but overtime you can warm to and outside of football seem alright (Robbie Savage,Roy Keane...etc)
Craig Bellamy though always seems a bitter and twisted twat with a definite screw loose even after his player career ended

Injury time winner tonight

A cross that went in.

I still think they will blow up at some point, nice to see an unfashionable side up there setting the pace.

It`s a very similar record that they have from our side that won our first 13 games, we hit the wall after Christmas too.

Yep think there are comparisons with Ian Branfoot's 1985/86 side, very hardworking and get on the right end of the score often through late goals. Would be great to see them out point Wrexham and Brum but don't see them yet as a 106 threat

This is my view. I'd love for them to stop at least one of Wrexham or Birmingham getting promoted, but cannot see them being a threat to the points record.

Last night West Ham v Arsenal equalled Reading v Manchester United record of seven first half goals in a PL match.

Interestingly * neither match saw a second half goal.

Portsmouth v Reading 7-4 is still the record for aggregate goals in a Pl match.

Other Reading PL records?

Doyle early goal at Sheff U?
ALF goals as a sub / player of the month without starting?
11 PL debuts simultaneously v Boro Aug 2026.

Gillespie quickest sending off (0 seconds, as ball had not yet gone back into play)

Fastest goal is Shane Long, but its when he was at Southampton (vs Watford)

Good one. Not bad haul for just three seasons in PL.

Last one isn’t a record (technically just equalled a record held by lots of clubs).

On MOTD last night they listed 4 PL games that have had 7 first half goals, can`t recall the others, but in all 4 games there was just 1 second half goal.
It`s common occurrence if plenty of goals are scored in the first half it drops off in the second period, Celtic were 5-0 at HT yesterday and that`s how it finished.

Think, of the 16 named in Reading's match day squad that day, only John Oster had featured in a PL game before and he remained an unused sub. Graham Stack was also an unused sub, but he had never played a PL game either during his time at Arsenal.

2026? Back to back promotions to the PL? I like the optimism.

Not a record we hold as such but we now have 18 home wins in a calendar year for the first time at the SCL, and best since 1993 and still have a few games left to improve that. Anyone know what our best ever home year is?

We went unbeaten at home for about 2 years in the 1930s. 55 games IIRC.
