Brogue
morganb Amadou Mbengue was sick on the bus and at the ground hence his omission. Michael Craig struggling with a sore hamstring

Earnshaw on Twitter

If he’s got novovirus then that could be pretty bad for the squad. Is so contagious the whole squad could go down with it especially as they are in such a compact space like a bus.

Good, that’ll help them all be sold then.

In the interviews after the game, they thought it was food poisoning.

Better for the club if it was nogovirus.

Camara - out 3-4 weeks (again)

Craig - taking it day by day.

Campbell - player wants to stay, club trying to sort still.

I suppose at least we've got a light month now in terms of league games

I hope it’s just a bit of mind over matter, but what Hunt said about Craig below has made me wonder if Craig or his agent is angling for a move.

“The scan came back, and it looked okay but he’s still feeling pain so we can only go off Michael. We have to take it day-by-day and see how it goes but as of now he is still feeling it so we have to try and push him but not shove him."

It’s pretty common that some players will ignore pain and come back early by telling coaches they are fine. Others are naturally more cautious and while they might be told they are ok if they feel a twinge they say they aren’t ready. I think there may even be a name for the differing attitudes. I don’t think it has anything to do with wanting a move.

I hope you’re right as I really like Craig.

Well yes, if its genuine. It wouldn’t be the first player to exaggerate because he wanted out though.

Craig has always seemed more the former than the latter of your descriptions.

But Blyth is certainly reaching for bad news.

Think a bit too much being read into it. Hamstring injuries always hang around a bit in my experience and it’s bloody cold which doesn’t help

Be nice to see him back for Burnley but reckon the game after

Don’t recall much injury history with Craig so it may well be he’s just extra cautious because he’s not sure how it’s supposed to feel

Kelvin E, Dorsett and Yiadom ‘back on the grass’ apparently, whatever that actually means beyond the literal

Maybe back for next league game is my reading

Possibly on the bench for Saturday, but certainly you wouldn't risk any of them.

Not sure how the u21’s work anymore. But don’t injured players usually get a run out in the reserves for half an hour or so before coming into the first team. Or does that not happen anymore?

I guess it depends how long they've been out.....certainly think Yiadom should get a half or two before being considered for the first team.

well yeah, i find it bizarre for people to suggest they are going to be on the bench on Saturday. What, Yiadom is going to just come back to sit on the bench before doing any sort of reserve team footy after however many months out? i very much doubt kelvin e would either. Dorset? maybe, he's not been out that long. Unless i'm missing something here i would imagine both kelvin and Yiadom are probably still a couple of weeks away, or at least until they had a couple of run outs in the reserves.
