Mid Sussex Royal Tax paid yesterday - by whom Noel doesn't know

Thats significant; it suggests that someone behind the scenes is keeping the ship afloat.......

blythspartan I feel I am at the stage where it’s more likely I’ll be supporting a Phoenix club in 1 or 2 years time. I hope that’s not the case, but it’s difficult to see this ending well.

Are there any actual plans for a phoenix club ? Has someone enquired about booking a pitch at Prospect Park and getting a place in Div 7 of the Reading &District league (or whatever the remainder of the once extensive local football system is now called)

have you?

Absolutely not, no interest in it at all.

Club can’t be completely skint, as i am at the stadium in club 106 and there are 2 grass growing rigs lit up and working on the pitch.

Go round the back of the East Stand and you’ll notice the cable running down the bank to where they’ve tapped into B&q’s power

Mr Angry Ride a cow until you find a horse; today, basically ANYONE is better than Dai, as literally no-one could be a worse owner.

I agree

Could be either, but there was certainly a strong suggestion the existing money was running out in November. And I fully trust the club/Howe would never lie to us

To an earlier comment, I wouldn’t expect the manager to know or be able to share details of takeover progress or talk about issues with Dai, but I would expect a manager to know how the club is being funded and by who. It affects whether he'll be paid and his players will be paid, and I'd be expecting some pretty concrete answers internally for reassurance.

I am starting to think Dai has the money, but is being choosy about when to spend it.

On a separate note, am I correct in thinking that we still have a suspended 2 point deduction if we fail to pay tax or wages on time? Pretty sure that was the situation going back to March 24.

He's paying lawyers to counter sue Couhig. You think they're doing it pro-bono? It's definitely a choice. He's bored of his expensive toy.

Scanning through the chronicle articles, Carey seems to be the main man since Bowen was disappeared. Hunt keeps referring to Gilkes also. What are their actual roles, anyone know?

I thought she handed everything over to her brother so assume she is skint.
Pretty sure I heard she had set up her own business on Southampton St.

Looks like it.

https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/68413946

Reading have had two more points docked, their third deduction of the season, by the English Football League.

The League One side have had a further two-point penalty suspended after failing to pay dues to HMRC within an 80-day limit imposed by the EFL.

Also have a suspended three point deduction for any further crowd trouble.
