Ref being called out as useless for both teams.

Probably going to need a better performance (& ref) v Birmingham.

Missed the game due to a visit to A&E on Friday. Great to see we won though.

Three valuable points.

Much better from Reading than the Shrewsbury game. Savage was immense, Knibbs back to his best, Wing got caught out a few times but was clearly running things. No one had a bad game - Garcia made lots of mistakes again, but also made some good runs and got a very good shot off.

Rotherham were abysmal first half, on top for much of the second.

The worst officiating of the season. Just so many mistakes. They had two perfectly good goals ruled out. I wasn’t sure it was a penalty at the end but those who have seen in on TV are adamant it was.

And for some reason they shut the gate onto the A33 oat the greyhound stadium car park so it took 40 minutes to get out when it was already almost empty. Anyone know why?

Most exciting game in ages. Rovrum get no luck here, no win since 1977!

Clearly they had a good shout at 1-1. BBC Berks on about how the offficials should have talked to each other about that. Aren’t they miked up to each other the whole game anyway?

I saw a NL match this season Southern League Premier or something and the Lino was constantly taliking to the ref. Surely that happens at L1 and surely Mick Tim and Ady should know that?

Hunt’s subs baffling.

Saw this point on twitter and agree, but can anyone tell me or explain why Reading fans have this exhausting habit of screaming about the ball placement at the corner flag?

In the second half all I heard around me were screams to "get on with it!" And real urgency to try to win.

Then at the corners they stupidly scream, implying the ball is not placed properly - even though it is.

The ref sometimes stops play to come and look, causing the fans to take real pleasure in it.

Pretty annoying and wish it'd stop. Especially when we're chasing the game.

As far as I can tell, that's all Club 1871 do these days - pretty quiet until there's an opposition corner in the South East corner, then scream about ball placement which is usually wrong and wastes time...

Several times I've seen quite clearly that the ball is correctly placed from Y21, so I'm sure they know it's OK. Agree it's really annoying, and makes them look like simpletons.

It was odd coming away from the game feeling that we'd nicked the win when before the pen I was thinking this was 2 points dropped. We deserved the win even if the pen was soft. I actually thought both were soft and the one that Wing didn't get was more deserved.

A poor ref that seemed to fall for all Rotherham's tricks, fall over and get a foul. Bring back Sian from Tuesday.

Think it might be time to knock it on the head tbh. Several times in recent games we've heard "is this a library?" or "shall we sing a song for you?" come from the away fans which isn't exactly a ringing endorsement of C1871 and their "make noise no matter what" claim.

It started out great with great noise and banter with opposing fans. That was when we were in the championship with bigger crowds and larger away followings. Our first season in Div1 it wasn't to bad however now we are in our second season and with this big cloud hanging over the club our attendances are starting to dwindle i to think it might be time to revert back.

I would be happy to give the away fans behind the goal, if they fill it and make more noise then so be it!! I'm old school and always loved being behind the goal as an away fan :D and lets face it, who would actually fill the whole away end? Brum yes, others, probably not.

We've had some shit decisions go against us this season so today was definitely an example of the old cliche of them evening out over a season.

The decision to rule out Mbengue's OG is as bad as any I've seen, and the winning penalty was so soft after all the stonewallers we've been denied.

I very much agree with this. Every time I’ve seen the fans get all excited about this they have been wrong. Just need a part of the ball within the quarter-circle - doesn’t even need to be touching it.

It’s possible the crappest cliche in football. Just about the only thing guaranteed is that you’ll be either up or down to some extent over a season - very rarely even.

The second most dumb cliche is that penalty shoot outs are a lottery. Such lazy punditry and completely wrong. Whichever team shows greater penalty skills will win.

Rotherham penalty scorer looks like he may be slightly offside for the Mbengue own goal. Maybe the assistant thought he was in the eye line of Pereira.

Never understood the point of C1871. You could have achieved the same thing by putting a drum in Y26. Instead the club incurred significant cost to A) relocate away fans B) reduce away allocation.

I think the vast majority of the time they know it's fine. Today the ball was physically on the line.

It seems a case of just wanting to trick the ref and be annoying.

At the end of the day, it's a game of two halfs to be fair
