Probably another couple of thousand will be added today as the petition was being handed around the ground

I thought I'd read on SM that they'd got 600 signatures at the game. Not a dig at the volunteers collecting them but that few is really disappointing.

Also can't our 10K+ 'Play-offs and other big games' followers even be bothered to sign online? They might end up missing those big days out.

Reaching everyone who would sign if they knew is always going to be hard. A few dozen volunteers are never going to be able to get to everyone at a game and those attending are more likely to have already done it via social media.

I got half a dozen locals to sign it this weekend though. Its pushing towards 7,500 online now.

Just a reminder, if you have any banners, signs and possibly even changes which you want to appear on TV, make sure they have no swear words in them.
This is apparently why banners protesting the fixture which was moved in order to be screened on BBC iPlayer were not shown on camera, although one of them was aimed at the BBC as was a change and neither were picked up.

I thought the fixture was moved by Sky? EIther way, whichever TV company it was, they're not going to show banners complaining about them, regardless of the language used. Likewise, I suspect the EFL and FA have made requests (issued orders) to the broadcasters to ensure no banners/protests about them are shown.

Everton’s banners and placards got plenty of coverage last season, IIRC.

Did they contain the F word? - I imagine broadcasters may not want to broadcast that to their viewers

No, but I was responding to RoyalBlue’s final sentence - although I admit I didn’t make that particularly clear!

Nandy might reject that after Saturday.

For the activists and ex-activists on here, take a look at On This Day, 25 years ago, The Beach Party v Bournemouth. Good fan inspired theme day out.

No Dai Yongge chants/songs at last night's game??

Has protest fatigue finally set in (not surprising if it has after so long with nothing changing) ?

I think it's just because we were actively attacking when the 18th minute rolled around.

I think the fan base know there is a petition by the Reading MP that has hit over 10,000 signatures which will sort all our problems so no need to protest now.
