Good news. A fully fit Clarke could be a real asset on the left.

Fit just in time to be sold.

DO you ever wonder, 'maybe I'm over doing the doom on literally everything, just a touch'?

No, just being realistic - with everything that’s going on, it’d hardly be a surprise to anyone if it did happen would it?

Would it be a big surprise if a guy who hasn't featured for two years, has been out injured for ages and isn't worth a lot in transfer fees or cost a lot in wages is immediately sold on returning to u21 football?

Yes. A big surprise.

Now Yids is back fully training, hopefully see him.in the Unders or on the bench in a week or so.

Which will help.

So would playing Abrefa though.

in the league this season:

- with Ben elliott, 19 matches, 9 wins, 4 draws, 31 points, 1.63 points per game

- without Ben Elliott, 8 matches, 3 wins, 1 draw, 1.25 points per game

I think there are a few reasons for the recent bad form, but this is perhaps one of them. Ben and Knibbs worked well together.

Yep agree - Mbengue too has been a huge miss.

On more positive news, it looks like Akande is back in contention.

Some better news for once:

Yiadom & Akande playing for U21's tomorrow

Mbengue back in full training - so assume back next week

Elliott - back on grass next week

That's pretty positive.

Having Mbengue back as soon as possible is vital.

Having Elliott back could make a huge difference to our midfield options, too. He brings something different.

Although trying to pick three from him, Wing, Savage, Knibbs and Craig (assuming the latter isn't forced into RB by default) is really tough.

Good ‘tough’ to have though - certainly better than ‘which of these untried youth players do we throw in?’

Sounds like Mbengue could even feature tomorrow in some way

Akande back also useful. Could actually have a half decent squad in a few weeks again once Yiadom and Elliott are involved

Craig out for the season. :(

At least Yiadom and Abrefa are back, plus Elliott close in midfield.

Sounds like Chem & Kelvin will be back Tues, or Sat at latest.

With Craig out we've lost another midfielder (but now have full back cover) so unless Elliott's return is imminent maybe we go for a midfielder now?

Worry about the lack of rest Knibbs, Wing & Savage are getting with 2 midweeks coming up.

Losing Craig sucks, but he didn't play midfield all season. The midfield will need back up, however we do have Senga and Sackey in the U21s and from what I've seen of them they are more than worth a go as cover for the first team boys.
Let's face it, our Academy has done us proud this season and i would have no issues giving these guys a chance over an emergency loan. I still think LB would be the safe bet especially if Garcia picks up a knock.

LB has to be priority. Or striker.

Rushesha can play midfield as well. Much as I really wanted to see Craig make that anchor position his own, as you say he hasn't played midfield all season, so it's not like he leaves a hole there.

I Agree Wing, Savage, Knibbs, Elliott (when back), Rushesha, Senga and Sackey give us enough cover in midfield.

So that's basically after the international break then. Hoping we can stay in touch until then and get Elliott back for the last few games.....seems to have all gone quiet on his progress.
