LUX What happened?

Free kick to Reading, Strickland was standing over the ball to take it, jogs away and leaves it for the keeper, then gets a second yellow for time wasting.

That's classic Stickers tbf

If we had beaten Crawley, we'd be in the playoffs again.

You see time wasting like that all the time and it is very seldom punished. In any case a great night for the boys. Well done to the whole team.

That was great. Team played to its absolute best.

Savage channelling his da.
Garcia showing why he's rated.
Sad about Stickland, but I get it.
Pereira also very, very solid.

Fantastic performance - on it from the start and dominated the first half without creating much.

What was most impressive was we came out second half and went again and got our rewards.

Also coped well with one of the most pathetic refereeing decisions there has ever been at the Mad Stad.

Well done lads and now looking like a great unbeaten run and some momentum building.

Probably a spin off thread but I can think of 2 worse.

The "Hull Rule" for offside, a player running to a through ball who is so clearly offside everyone stops - he's next to the ball but doesn't touch it - whilst his onside team mate runs through gets the ball and scores.

Norwich get an assist from the ref, chests down the ball for a Norwich player to volley the ball into the top corner from outside the area.

But then we may have lost tonight, or Bolton may have won

Good performance, good result. That's why I prefer us playing the top teams in the league.

Took my ex-missus to that game, she had a whale of a time.

Very enjoyable evening

Excellent performance, good atmosphere (helped by that sending off) and a superb result

Wrexham were dreadful - you really don’t need to be all that to be up there in this league do you? - but impressed by us and how Hunt set us up tonight. Garcia excellent, Savage, Knibbs, Bindon, Wareham…all very good

Well done lads

Great performance. When we play badly, people say Hunt has no identity or plan for the team. Tonight was how he wants us to play. Getting consistency is the challenge.

On to the next one. The unlikeliest of promotions is still possible.

Great performance, clean sheet, three points, and it felt a bit more like the Mad Stad of old (albeit with a small turnout).

Bindon - it's hard to do justice to just how good he is - he had Smith in his pocket all night. I have thought we didn't lose much replacing Smith with Wareham. I'm beginning to think we actually traded up.

Garcia had the best game I've seen him have. Savage and Knibbs the heartbeat of the team. Wrexham had no one with their desire and work rate.

And that second goal was a thing of absolute beauty.

I was a bit surprised we got the penalty - I expect when I see a replay it will have been the right decision though.

The way the ref was quick to card Pereira for time wasting suggests he would have told the captains before the game that he would have zero tolerance. The second yellow for Stickland was probably justified. I think he knew what he was doing.

Wareham had another good game and is proving me and many others wrote. I didn’t think he was ready for L1, or that he'd ever make it at this level. But he's definitely good enough. Would be nice to see him get a few more goals.

Who Moved The Goalposts?
Brogue Got to say I think it was the right decision by the ref

If they did that consistently week after week, there would be 20 red cards a week.

Or a lot more footballers getting on with the game as they should do.

This.

I'd agree, but do think the referee has to show some common sense bearing in mind the age of the player, It's naive and never a red card - a previous poster mentioned bullying, it does smack of it and the ref should have handled it differently.

For all the conspiricy theorists out there, the stats make interesting reading....according to Sky, Reading made 5 fouls, 2 yellows, 1 red - Disney made 17 fouls, not a single yellow, not even for the pen!!

Parky obviously criticised the ref for the penalty but also mentioned the sending off in the same breath.

Right or wrong, it was certainly an odd one that is rarely enforced.
