Bracknell don’t have a ground, they play in Sandhurst and a three way ground share would be logistically impossible. I’m also fairly sure the ground is not up to NLS standards.

I’d have thought Aldersh*t or Farnborough would be viable ground share options.

Not exactly in the locale though are they? Woking would be another of that type that'd fit the bill.

And Bottom Meadow would probably be fine for a club starting out, esp. as I think Reading Phoenix starting at the National League levels, while not impossible, is rather unlikely.

Anyway, I'd suggest Arbor Park is the obvious choice (don't think Slough are sharing with any other Saturday non league outfit currently). After that for grounds in the locale it's Maidenhead United then Bracknell/Sandhurst and Binfield. Wouldn't rule out Marlow as a possible either.

Still don’t get how you shoehorn a third club into Bottom Meadow….

Marlow is a quaint ground but logistically it would be a nightmare. It’s got no car parking space and a crowd of more than a few hundred would severely strain its capabilities. Wycombe would be much preferable and the clubs have a history of ground sharing.

Wycombe is the most realistic option for me. Our target would be to exceed their attendances in non League. May seem petty, but actually attendances mean money and any non League side getting over 5k has a big advantage over their rivals.

WestYorksRoyal If the existing club gets liquidated, could we be in a bizarre situation where the the new club Board spawned out of STAR are negotiating with Dai to use the SCL? Or would we refuse to give him a penny on principle?
I imagine the running costs would be too high for a start-up Phoenix Club without a rich benefactor to support it.

More importantly, would we be sticking with the blue and white hoops and what should the new club badge look like?

Smee? SCL? We have some wealthy fans and a generally affluent fanbase.

The task is selling a vision people can get behind enough to put some hard cash in.

I like blue and yellow.

Badge should be a crucified effigy of Dai, wth a phoenix shitting flames on him, and some Elm trees in the background.

Is Oxford a better bet for ground share?

Much easier train journey than Wycombe isn't it?

Stands back...

Groundshare with Aldershot would be easy right?

And we could call ourselves the Thames Valley Royals….
Have to be a fairly new fan to even think us playing in Oxford would work !
Of course Oxford are about to build a whole new stadium so perhaps we could have the Kassam all for ourselves.

Yes and the same, except change the 1871 bit to 2026 or whatever.

At the ground we can have a club 2026 area behind one of the goals.

Mascots can be a little Chinese man being chased and mauled by Lions.

or we can just go and support Maidenhead United.

Aren’t they meant to be moving ground again soon? That’ll leave an empty ground with a car park which I presume would be up to NL standard :?

We should call ourselves Liverpooll (with 3 Ls), then we can Mihaylov unsuspecting and somewhat dim foreign players into joining us.

Only 3 sides of the Kassam are up to NL standard.

Mainly because the owner of the ground is an ubercunt and charges them ridiculous rent with outrageous strings attached. So not one to get in bed with, no matter how desperate we are.

I was just going to come on here and say that I won’t be be able to feign any love or interest in a Phoenix Club if Reading cease to exist, but this badge may make me change my mind.
