El Diablomorganb Winding up petition issued against Reading FC by management agency, Skelland Brown.
https://x.com/BebbingtonScott/status/19 ... mMF6w&s=19
https://x.com/thesimpsonRFC/status/1905 ... ZvJrQ&s=19A new winding up petition has been launched against #readingfc Skelland Brown Ltd is a player agency firm.
Clients include Harvey Knibbs, Tom Holmes, Garath McCleary and Alex McCarthy
Assume this is bad news
You can search up on Court records this type of thing, and over the tenure of Dai's owner ship IIRC , we've had three other Agents / Companies serve us winding up petitions .
Its no big deal really, as the club will no doubt pay up - unless there's a dispute. A lot of companies these days don't oxf*rd around if their Customer is in default and swiftly take this path.
I wouldn't be surprised that if there's a sale of the club pending - direction from above would be to hold )all non essential) payments going out.

Sutekh Thanks for giving RC a chance to put a bit of PR out there for himself!
Highlights nobody around here has a clue what is actually going on at the moment. Pulled from pillar to post with a ton of machinations going on. At the end of the day RC managed Wycombe into a very useful well run unit. Meanwhile Dai and his entourage of advisors (whoever they may be) have managed to do the polar opposite with Reading while Platek we know seems to sell and move on from things fairly quickly when what Reading really need is time and effort to stabilise and build back the foundations JM had.
Nice to hear RC give his time to speak and in so doing show more communication to the fans than we’ve had from the present mute in all his 8 years.

Thanks mate. This has taken quite some prep since I managed to secure it but I hope we covered everything and got more new information.
The liens information is very interesting. Whilst it avoids a doomsday scenario is this why the club have avoided administration but have been on a drip feed of funds for almost 2 years?
Bearwood again interesting and the fact the club were trying to flog the asset rather than Couhig jumping on a bad situation.
From speaking with Rob, honest opinion and I don't want to influence anyone else, was he is a very open, hospitable person. He also, despite being offered numerous opportunities during the interview had the chance to throw people under the bus but avoided doing so. Make of that what you will.

Linden Jones' Tash Sorry, I don't have time to listen to it all.
Doesn't sound like he said anything about accepting the "formal proposal for alternative security " cited in the RFC statement?
Which would have reassured everyone right...

Appreciate your time, must have taken a while to set up! Glad someone’s managed to do something the BBC should have been looking to do rather than just parroting the club. Hope you’re not losing your Bournemouth followers as a result!
Rob speaks as you’d expect in being very positive and sensible about how to run a club and you can see through the state of Wycombe that he does deliver. Only thing I felt was missing was on the collapse of his deal, as I edited into my earlier message.

Don't worry about the Bournemouth followers. The ones who know me will know how much both clubs mean to me and actually support it. The ones who are bothered by it being on there aren't worth worrying about and have short memories of what the Cherries were like in 2008 when I moved down here.
From what I got from Rob was he isn't sure why his deal collapsed himself. One day it was all done, money transferred ready to go. The club suggested the Purple Turtle pics which he obliged to doing and after trip number 5 they sent his money back. He paid the full amount and did not try and undercut Dai which is a popular myth.
From what was hinted at the time, from Rob's reluctance to name or shame anyone and from what we now know - I assume but have zero proof of this that Rob had exclusivity and it was Pang and/or Howe who were trying to get more money out of him therefore breaking the agreement or was looking to find an alternative buyer for more money before the money was sent back whilst Rob had exclusivity.
