Internet forum boards - by their very nature - are quite anonymous places, but we are a community and like everyone else who has read and commented, this news is both sad and shocking.

Thoughts to you and your family CR.

This is terrible news, as others have said he was always so knowledgable and helpful when wanting to know more about the Academy players.

May fond thoughts of your son comfort you at this time, my heartfelt condolences go with you and your family.

Crusader Royal Sad to inform the board that one of our members has left us.
On Thursday evening SCIAG made the decision to take his own life.
His first Reading game was aged 6 when he watched the warm up, declared it had been brilliant and could he go home now.
He had a special affinity with our Academy sides and players and had an encyclopaedic knowledge of the most obscure players.
I doubt many of you knew him in real life. I only found out I knew him quite recently.
He was my son, I’m struggling. I miss him so much.

I am so very sorry to hear this awful news CR.

Thankyou everyone
Tom (as he was away from HNA) had struggled for many years and this was a clearly thought through decision he made because he could no longer struggle.
He is, I hope, free now.
He was a lovely lad, wicked sense of humour, smart and caring.
It is so helpful to see he was liked and respected. Clearly the ability to be a valued contributor on HNA is not genetic, I’m not sure what qualities he did inherit from me but I am proud that he did take on my love for RFC.
Please keep him in your thoughts.

windermereROYAL Still shocked even the morning after the night before, to my recollection we`ve never had this kind of sombre news on here before.
same, but sadly I fear, it’s not (the first time) I still have recollections.
