Believe the others...I thought I heard Long scored, but it looks like I have been out-voted.

Just got back. Poor match and some dissapointing performances from certain players but others had some good games. Special mention to Seol who looked lively and had great ability with both feet. Bryn had a fine game in midfield and playing the holding role excellently.

Name and shame, who was good and who was poor.

How did the young lads do?

Simon Cox did very well, particularly strong for the goal, leant into the defender firmly, but fairly, emerged with the ball and powered it in from a tight angle.
Scott Golbourne still looks the unfinished article, found their no.14 very tricky down his side and gave away the pen.
Other youngsters did OK, nothing extraordinary.

Halls was the poorest player on the pitch on either side, kept getting knocked off the ball, losing headers and playing passes straight into touch.

Everyone else was generally OK, with Seol looking more comfortable with every touch.

The defending for their opener was poor, but it tightened up considerably after that.

Agree with 3 vees summary there. I also thought that Halls was abysmal.

Good players : Bryn, Seol, Oster, Sonko
Bad players : Little, Doyle, Sidwell, Halls

At the end of the day it was only a friendly and you can't judge anything on form and fitness but hopefully we're in good shape come the 19th August.

None of the Academy players really impressed, then again the flow of the game wasn't Premier League standard.
