Scarface Unfortunately discipline is often a problem with African players

Er, Sonko had a great disciplinary record last season and he's an African.

Headbutting an opponent wasn't Raleigh Bikey's best move now, was it? 8)

Yes Spacey, but note I mention "often". Thus not all African players are indisciplined, but it's fair to say they often are e.g. look at teams in the World Cup.

Sometimes you really are a cupid stunt.

Point taken. I bet you saw the Argentina v Cameroon game in 1990 and based your opinion on that.

if the guy is wnats to make agood impression and really wants to get a contract he souldn't go doing a zidane now should he. he'll be no good during the season if he spends half his time suspended.

Although Bikey's reaction was obviously a bad one, particularly in a pre-season game, he looked a very assured, accomplished player. His general ball skills, range of passing and heading ability was impressive, so it will be a hard descision for the Reading staff as to whether or not to keep him IMO.

Would this be a good time to point out that Bikey doesn;t rhyme with 'pikey'?

The bloke has 24 yellows and one red in 25 games in russia, walks around moscow carrying a gun.
three games into a trial with reading he headbutts a swede. in a no pressure game.
the bloke is barking and shouldnt be allowed into the country
will be on a life ban before the season is half over.

I think this is yet another stroke of genius by Mr Coppell, he may have told Bikey to get sent off so that we can try and claim we are no longer interested and therefore get him on the cheap. This would benefit both the player and the Royals as he wants out of Moscow but will find it difficult his rumoured price tag.

Oh and I can't explain the other 24 yellow cards but I'll try and think up another conspiracy theory.

not being funny, but if your mate had been clattered with a baseball bat, and most people hated you on basis of your skin AND you were in a country notorious for its mob and corruption, you wouldnt carry a gun?

i think to a degree the hell that this lads obviously suffered is what makes him a more violent aggresive character, but i dont think it can be a sole excuse. Maybe, and it is a maybe if he came over here and got settled he'd tone down a bit. Not to say he'd have a exemplary record, but maybe be a bit more of a roy keane type.

every club needs a hard man
