This current Reading squad is the greatest Reading squad in our 135 year history and I don't care what people say...Friday, Senior etc. they are not the greatest players to have ever played for Reading. It is the players of 2006 that are the best players ever to play for Reading.

I honestly believed that when Pardew left for West Ham, our chance of Premiership football had well and truly gone and I would never see Reading in the Premiership. However, Steve Coppell has proved me wrong and after a couple of years of critisism (from me included) for his managment and signings, he's turned it round and every Reading fan must admit, they weren't expecting what happened last season, especially after the Plymouth game. He's not only put Reading into a position for the present, he's got one for the future with Doyle, Convey, Lita, Long, Sidwell, Halls, Shorey and Sonko all 25 or under and not even at their peak.

Now after, 11 long, painful years since that play-off final, we are now in the big time. Oppostion of Bury, Oxford and Chesterfield have become Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester United. Our players will come up against some of the greatest players in the world, and with the likes of Henry, Rooney, Gerrard and Shevchenko coming to the Madejski Stadium this year, the Royals fans will be in for a treat.

So thank you John Madejski, Steve Coppell and the players for bringing Premiership football to Reading and may I wish you good luck.

COME ON UUUURRRRRRRRZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!!!!!!!!

ALOL

Can we rename this thread please? It's a bit misleading in that I can't see anything "official" about it.

It hurt, mate. We were quite prepared to hand him over to Reading, but no-one else.

Hull's results have been the only thing to warm our hearts lately
