Garth Crook's team of the week...

by Philly Flyer » 21 Aug 2006 12:48

Yes we all know he's a bit of an idiot and can't do a decent post match interview to save his life but he has included Kits and Sid and only Terry from Chelsea....

Yet he missed out our man of the match, Seol. By far the best player on the pitch IMO.

Amazingly Seol was included in the NOTW Premiership team of the day - not that he didn't deserve it - it's just not like them to be print anything based on any kind of genuine fact!?

Especially as it was NOTW who said we've got less chance of staying up than Humpty Dumpty. I'm not going to forget that for the rest of the season

Quite amusing in The Sun, it says S Ki-Hyeon had no shots on target then it gives the save of the match to Schwartzer with a tip over from S Ki-Hyeon!!!!

Coppell was also manager of the team of the week

Jon Carter's TotW from Soccernet (ESPN's London football bureau; not at all a bad site for those with time for news and perspective):

The midfield consists of Reading's outstanding South Korean wideman Seoul [sic] Ki-Hyeon on the right. A constant threat with his speed and passing ability, Seoul played a part in all three Reading goals this weekend and was unlucky not to get on the scoresheet himself.

And the manager? Who else but the man who broke all sorts of Championship records last year. Reading's Steve Coppell proved that he's a comeback king after leading his side from behind to beat Boro 3-2. The man can do no wrong, and with him at the helm, this team could go far.

The others: Sorensen, Eboue, Mellberg, Meite, Bowyer, Arteta, Ronaldo, Rooney, Zamora, Kanu
