Reasons to be cheerful

by cmonurz » 24 Aug 2006 09:20

- Best placed of the promoted sides
- 100% home record
- Only Manchester United have scored more goals
- Doyle looks at home in the Premiership
- So does Shorey
- Wigan, City and Sheffield United in our next three, and a chance to settle ourselves into a mid-table position.
- Currently above Spurs, Arsenal and Liverpool.

I was impressed by Hunt - fought like a mad thing. The team never gave up and we looked a match for Villa with 10 men!

Sidwell is no longer well-known in Premiership, so hopefully nobody will buy him ..........

Taken from a Villa messageboard:

"Reading battled well, and they showed that they are more than capable of staying up. That ginger bloke in the middle seems useful. "

Reading's fitness levels looked mega high.

We were still really going for it right until the end. I know Doyle was substituted but the amount of work that bloke got through was unreal. He also held the ball up fantastically.

We've got the same number of points as we had after two games last season.

We've never been out of the top half of the Prem.

Working tomorrow, then off to Sardinia for a fortnight to get married. :?

There is a god, because I return on Sunday 10th Sept and don't miss a single home game (thanks for once Sky, for getting the Man City game rescheduled!).
This was booked six months ago, without having any idea whether I'd miss Man U, Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea, etc. at home!!!! :D

And my father-in-law's team are still in the championship, despite them "being a better team" than Reading (his words, not mine, when he discovered I was a Reading fan many moons ago...). Yes I am VERY cheerful!!
