Now I have seen the replays I am even more furious about Zurab's sending off. It was a blantant dive by the Barnsley player and in an interview Zurab said he thought the yellow card was for diving.

Why are people so desperate to play Kebe in the middle?

It would never, ever work.

That's a very blinkered opinion.

Firstly, he's in the kind of form that would make him a serious threat wherever he played other than in defence.
Secondly, we need someone of his ability to replace Gylfi should we wish to revert to 4-2-3-1 because Howard hasn't looked close to being good enough.

And, finally, having him stuck out on the wing makes it easy for the oppositiion to blunt the effect of our best player by doubling up on him; giving him a free role behind a lone striker would make it much harder to pick him up let alone be marked by 2 players and with HRK starting to look the part it has to be worth a shot.

I don't think it's blinkered...Kebe is devastating when facing the play, but I'm not sure he's got the touch and strength with his back to goal, so I believe he's better off playing out wide. If we stick with 4-5-1 then I'd rather HRK or McAnuff play there.

Why waste the most potent chance creator in the Championship player in a role where he has extra defensive duties?

Not read the previous 5 pages so not sure if it's been mentioned before or not - Ian Harte played a cross field pass to Jimmy Kebe which was probably THE best pass I've ever seen by an RFC player

Possibly, but I'd have only been 6 or 7.

Also, never seen a player marked by 4 opponents at the same time either. Kebe put 2 of them on their arse as well

Not Reading I know, but I had the massive pleasure of watching Eddie Gray (60's & 70's Leeds) on 5 or 6 occassions, including one where he put all 4 of the surrounding defenders on their @rses. Seems like JK is beginning to show some of that class, but this time with pace.

There are less defensive duties behind the lone striker than playing out on the wing where supporting the full back in defence is a major part of the role.

Not Reading I know, but I had the massive pleasure of watching Eddie Gray (60's & 70's Leeds) on 5 or 6 occassions, including one where he put all 4 of the surrounding defenders on their @rses. Seems like JK is beginning to show some of that class, but this time with pace.

Now THOSE were the days. I served at RAF Leconfield, Yorks and used to go to Elland Road
for all the home games (went to Anfield for the 0-0 that won the league.)

You just turned up, queued, paid cash, always got in!

My mum and my grandpa were season ticket holders at Elland Road for 25 years. I've got a stack of old Leeds memorabilia including a couple of great team photos (68/69 and 73/74 I think) signed by every one of the players. Think I've also got a programme from the 1972 centenary FA cup final signed by Clarke who scored the winner.

Leeds at their best. They were winning 4-0 v West Brom and playing keep-ball
with the crod doing the usual "Ole!" but eventually the chant changed to "We want five."

Middle of the park, Bremner STOPPED, put his foot on top of the ball,
held five fingers up to the crowd, started playing again, and they scored the fifth almost immediately.

Met him. Nice enough chap. I got a corporate freebie with West Coast when we last played Leeds at Elland (1-1 draw, SHunt for TB&W). Also met Allan Clarke and Norman Hunter, who was an absolute gent. We had a tour of Elland Road hosted by the Leeds legends as mentioned, I particularly admired their passion for the club. Looked after us that day Leeds, although I fear that the financial problems which followed for them might be partly due to the amount of free booze I quaffed that day
