You can kind of get the logic behind selling Kebe. He's in the best form of his career over here, his market value is at it's highest, and he is coming towards the tail end of his contract.
Shane represents a (relatively) cheap punt for a struggling Prem club. His workrate alone could be the difference between a club staying up or getting relegated.
I believe that the Siggy money is being kept back to cover future budgetary shortfalls, so Brian can't be proactive.
Perhaps the only way we will see a new striker coming in will be with the proceeds of sales. If they do go, I hope it happens soon, so Brian isn't put in the same position as he was after Siggy went.
