All over the shop now - alternating rapidly between "Can't wait" and "oh shit".

I'm a bit blasé about it at the moment. But come tomorrow I'm sure I'll be well up for it.

However I was Sporting my Kyocera era shirt on the tube this morning before changing for work. First time in a while it's had an airing.

Have to admit im a bit non plused about the play offs. Certainly not fearful, its only a 1/4 chance and finishing 5th along with a Cup Quarter Final constitues a very good season. Add to that im not really fussed about playing in the premiership. Been there and done it, it wont be a patch on last time. However a trip to Wembley would be a fitting end to a good season. The players and the manager deserve it. id rather lose the final than the semi.

Don't understand all this bollox about not wanting to go up. Yeah we may not be the best team in the division, and yeah it might be cheaper/more enjoyable seeing us win a few more than we would in the prem, but people who would rather we didn't go up?? Come on!!

What's the point if you don't want team to go up? Why do you come each week, why do you celebrate each goal and Win? So that we can be a mid-table team in the championship and you're happy with that!

I for one am looking forward to the play offs, I am looking forward to next season and would love my club, Reading FC, the team i've supported through downs and ups, bad and good, 16 Years now i've been watching to go to the Premier League. I remember Oldham/Bury/Scunthorpe away trips on a Tuesday night in the middle of winter. Losing 4-1 away to Rotherham or Sunderland. I didnt do that to see my team end up as a mid table championship side.

I did that in the belief that one day we could reach the Prem, and we did it. I never thought I would see, especially after 1995 and the years after when we slipped down the table, us reach the Premier League. The best league in the World, we did, and we finished 8th!

I want us to win Tomorrow, I want us to win Tuesday and I most certainly want Us to win Monday 30th. Why? Because I love football and I love this club.

Whether we go up or not, I will still support this club. I know next season we might get the plastics and the prem league taggers, but I know in my head and heart, I Was There When We were Sh*t, I was their when We were brilliant, and I will be their again.

Not really bothered, yet. May catch some of the semi final on TV if I happen to find myself in a pub where its on.

If we get to the final though then I'll be all over the classifieds board trying to get a ticket.

I'm actually quite nervous now - I SO want us to do well. I SO don't want us to be in deficit going to their place.

Fourth play-off for me... really excited about this one, instead of just being dejected like 2009.
Rekon we may scrape a 1-0 at home and just keep it tight in the away leg

My past experiences have told me otherwise. Took me about 30 minutes to get over Wolves and Burnley. Bolton and Walsall still hurt deep down - to the extent that I still can't bring myself to own - let alone wear - any Reebok clothing.

Terminal Boardom Not that bothered tbh. Having watched a handful of games on tv or at the mad stad I have found the progression more of a passing interest than obsession. Of course, I would like to see Reading win and get through to the final. And if that happens I won't go to that game either. I have had my fill of emotional obsession over the years and more than happy for those who still have that feeling to go and enjoy / endure. And IF Reading win the play offs I won't be going next season either. I am very comfortable with this and can safely say that this particular umbilical cord has been well and truly severed. So excited? I don't think so. Enjoy the ride folks :)

Yeah, you're right I do feel old when, for example, I'm on a train and some people are swearing in their conversation in front of old people, women and children. I guess if not old then I am old-fashioned. Watch too many WWII programmes on telly seeing real heroes and wondering what they must make of this country and the people in it who their mates gave their lives for. People were just as tough in thoise days, probably tougher, but didn't feel the need to swear in front of women and children. Tell you what, you live by your standards and I'll live by mine.
