I want Saints to come up with us and I know it's not good for their fans nerves but I would prefer it to go to the last day and give the hamsters a glimmer of hope until Saturday. Only to hear goal after goal go in at St Mary's despite them tearing Hull a new one in their game.

It's bad for us as we would have been the live game with all the dead rubbers.

Now we'll be treated to Saints/WHU ping pong and out game will be consigned to history without much attention.

FinaLOL day. Unlucky suckers; sad thing is I won't be able to watch either Saints or West Ham fans crying on the telly because I'll be drunk in Birmingham holding a beach ball because we've just been too good 8)

It could've been you
It could've been youuuuuu
West Ham, Southampton
It could've been you

Saints lost at home to Bristol City too; they have an excellent home record but this league is unpredictable, especially with overwhelming pressure. Think they'll do it; hope West Ham are 5-0 in the 89th minute and Rickie Lambert takes a shot which takes 3 ricochets before going in to get an undeserved 1-0. That will hurt the most going into the play-offs.

Or Coventry win and so do Hull. Too unlikely to contemplation.

DK_Saint Signed up just after the Saints - Reading game but only got my account ok'ed today - so it will be a rather belated congratulations from here that would have looked better just after the game ;)

I felt that Saints played a good game but were a bit frantic in front of goal - Lallana was brilliant and created a lot but could have had 50 chances without scoring. When Reading came forward they just got the business done and stuck the ball in the back of the net. Yes, Le Fondre was on fire, but Roberts really caught my eye. I thought he was just the usual Heskey-type lump of a player but I see I was quite far from the truth there.

No daylight robbery or that sorts - that would be an insult to Reading. You had a game plan, stuck to it and executed it very well. To our credit we threatened and had good spells, but ultimately the most cohesive team with least errors won the game.

Was looking forward to a final day showdown for the title, but instead we decided to battle for 2nd with West Ham instead - yay. I hope to see Saints meet Reading in the Prem next season as I have tremendous respect for the team and the manager - have a nice party on Saturday!

Thanks...and for the love of God don't f-ckin' screw this up on Saturday.

Saints promoted>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>West Ham promoted.

Get 'er done. :D

I would take Lallana and Lambert, but the rest are no better than what we already have.

Much though I prefer Southampton, I actually want West Ham to be promoted. After all, it's as good as giving us a 6 point head start! :D

89 mins

Southampton 0-0 Coventry City
West Ham 4-0 Hull City

90 mins

West Ham 4-0 Hull City
Southampton 1-0 Coventry City

That's the way to do it.

Wouldn't West Ham 4-0 with a late Hull goal and Southampton goaless be sweeter? If that would give Birmingham a path to joining us and Southampton in the Prem, of course...

Yep, if West Ham win by 3 goals, and Saints only get a 0-0 draw, West Ham go up on goals scored.

Most "interesting" scoreline would be West Ham to win 3-0, with Saints drawing 1-1 (Or any other variation of West Ham winning by 3 and Saints scoring 2 fewer than them in a draw)

Best possible scenario for me would be:

Coventry to win 3-0 (comfortably winning all match getting west ham fans hopes up)

West ham to score in the first minute winning 1-0 thinking they've got it all wrapped up until....

The 94th minute when Nolan puts it into his own net to make it 1-1

Very unlikely going to happen but you can only hope!

My prediction
Coventry 1 : 0 Saints
Wet sham 1 : 0 Hull

Saints promoted on goal difference

Wet sham to loose to Blackpool in the playoffs :D
