CayeneMatt Shorey did OK yesterday, nothing more nothing less. Make no mistake, we still have a problem at LB. A Joe Mills type player is whats required, but one with more of a brain and a basic command of footballing ability.


Although I reckon it's loan to a view to permanent, a season (or even 6 months) playing week-in-week-out at the Championship level may allow him to learn what he needs to get well on the way. He was settling well into the side when he was dropped last year and by all accounts has been great at Burnley so far.


From what I remember he lost his place in the team through injury just as he was starting to impress. He came back for one game, played our of position at left midfield and was panicky every time he got the ball. He was then dropped and didnt get a look back in.

Yeah, i remember that, he had a shocker on the wing and then dropped off the radar.

Not sure you could say that he set up Hunt's it was a deflected shot that skied up into the air. Still, I think you can put him down for three assists in two games.
