Avon Royal
MmmMonsterMunch The Pog for example, looked great in the first few games but as each week has passed, the confidence & belief has ebbed away.

Another ringing endorsement of Brian's clique based approach to man-management.........

I don't think clique has anything to do with it. I think he is nervous & trying to get a result so is sticking with what he knows best.

And so we come full circle..........

That, in a nutshell, is why he has to go.

Ultimately the entire club, staff & players are out of their depth. Don't see how the finger can be completely pointed at the guy that got us to the PL in the 1st place...

That argument really makes me angry.

So Brian was the guy who got us promoted, but it is the players who are at fault for us struggling?

No you clearly can't read.....he is not entirely culpable. They all are.

It is the "Brian is the guy that got us promoted bit" that annoys me.

The players got us promoted.

But the problem is that football isn't like playing roulette or other games of chance!

It matters not who said it first but this so clearly applies:

"Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again but expecting different results."

Perhaps we should all send Brian a Christmas card with that written inside!

The players got us promoted.[/quote]

You can't have it both ways Avon. If the players got us promoted then this situation is all down to the players isn't it? So why do you want Brian out?

I'm not the one that wants it both ways - that is my point.

I believe that the players can perform a lot better than they currently are, but they are being hamstrung by Brian's tactics and approach. See quotes from Guthrie, Tabb etc.

Brian picks the team and sets the tactics, there is nothing a player can do if he doesn't pick them. That is why I want him gone.

Absolutely dire.

I'm usually very optimistic but we are not good enough for this league.

I have to agree. Yesterday was horrid. I looked at my watch at the game thinking they would blow for HT soon & only 15 mins had passed! Truly awful game.

Looking forward to a bit of cup action & old skool terracing at Crawley....a nice cup run would be just what the doctor ordered.

Only one person was responsible for us getting promoted last season.

It was a lady called luck.

When Roberts got hauled off last week I thought that BCMD would have the nuts to leave him out yesterday.

That's part of his failings, Jobi and Roberts appear untouchable. We will need to go 4/5/1 on Tuesday.

Hope Pog comes back in that role.

I am amazed at how "all of a sudden" we were lucky last season.

I kept saying we were lucky and a side maybe worth 4-5-6-7th
and for that I got loads of stick and was told the table doesn't lie.

We don't remotely have the quality of the other two promoted sides
or QPR (who will finish ten points or more above us)

That hurts, but what saddens me is that we seem to be losing our fighting spirit
and the behind the scenes stuff is now very, very worrying.

If McD wanted Pog and - he's rubbish, or doesn't train hard,
or doesn't want to play for McD, then McD is in trouble

Same for Guthrie.

Add in the Pearce issue and a keeper whose confidence is very low
and IMO, sentiment aside, that surely means the manager, at this time, for this club
isn't cutting it.
