"We've spent shitloads in the summer" & £7m for Pog. LOL - feel free to carry on making stuff up if it makes you feel better!

andrew1957 Backed us to stay up at 11/4 before Newcastle game and still think that is a good bet. Surprised we are still favourites to finish bottom as Villa and Wigan have much worse form. Also backed Villa to finish bottom. QPR might buy their way out of it unfortunately.

Bookies don't just go on current form andrew.
I backed Villa at evens the other day and although they are now 8/13 I make them about 1/3 shots.

Could be a good day for us. Wigan and Southampton again each other..draw please, and Aston Villa away to Everton. Can't see them getting anything from that one. Newcastle at home to Chelsea will be interesting. Chelsea stuttering a bit and Newcastle with their influx of French players, will be interesting to see if that can help the Toon Army get a confidence boosting win. If Newcastke win this, I think they could start pulling away from the relegation zone leaving the fight for survival 3 from us, Villa, QPR, Wigan and Southampton.

My bum is feeling squeakier as each Saturday passes.

Villa v wet sham

by The Royal » 10 Feb 2013 08:58

Hate to have to say so, but I will be egging on wet sham today, we really need them to fix their away form and do us a huge favour. I'm normally the first to say about just concentrating on our own results, but given yesterday's results we really don't want villa winning

To be honest villa actually play better than results will have you think so

I wonder whether it came as a surprise that 'The Royal' wasn't already taken as a username.

I think Villa have been playing OK away but looked poor at home and fans soon get on players backs when things start to go wrong.

A few of Sams well worked set pieces with their dodgy defence can easily see an away win

According to Pardew, Villa, after they played Newcastle, are the best team of the bottom group and he has seen all of them and will definitely stay up!

We must beat Villa and Wigan at home for sure. Failure to beat them will relegate us. There are not enough games left to make up. Games at Fulham, Norwich and West Ham are perhaps winnable with QPR, Saints, Liverpool and Man City to follow at home. Everton, Man U and Arsenal are almost certain defeats. We need to get to 38 points ish.. 5 wins needed or at least 4 and a load of draws.

He also said we would have no problems.

Therefore I can only conclude he's clueless after watching that. If Villa finish above us we deserve to go down.
