Only way I'd have Di Canio would be if it were on a 'until the end of the season then oxf*rd off and never return to Berkshire again'

Then he can still oxf*rd off and we can start implementing our longer term strategy.

Has to be between Curbishley and Adkins now. If we can pull off any of these would be great.

Poyet good too but he's made it clear he wants to be next Chelsea manager so would only use us as a stepping stone. No thanks.

Adkins or Curbishley for me. Both did well, I'm jut not sure who needed more funds.

That list just screams of being 'too expensive' to me.

If, as stated by SJM, that we'll continue to be run in a conservative way then that's most of them crossed off.

We'll go for cheapo deluxe again, so it's probably going to be: Dolan or A.N. Other from the backroom staff/ A young buck from one of the lower leagues looking to step up/ Somebody's first managerial role/ The son of an Estonian cross-dresser who has had some significant success in the Ukrainian 2nd League.

After looking certain for relegation, Curbishley led West Ham to seven wins out of their last nine games, beating Blackburn Rovers, Everton, Bolton Wanderers, Wigan Athletic, Arsenal, Middlesbrough and a 1–0 win at Manchester United on the last day of the season, to keep West Ham in the Premier League.

Seven wins out of nine would do nicely

If we're basing our decision on what happened in 2006 then we may as well bring Coppell back tbh.

Completely agree. Just trying to reign in some rather optimistic looking candidates. The record of managerial appointments is very good, promotion from within or otherwise.

Coppell is on a series of TV shows on Premier League TV today (overseas) and has directly confirmed he is not in the frame for a return as the club is taking a different direction. Just to clarify, he has not said he wanted to come back either (although would help, in a non-managerial capacity if they ever asked him).

Can we have Brian back now?

I am totally against the idea of Adkins as boss now that HobNob has voted so heavily in his favour. If there's one thing following this board has taught me it is that HobNobbers get it wrong with comical dependability. Should Anton have any sense, he will shortlist our poll toppers as ones to avoid like the plague.

It's Dolan's to lose now .....

He ticks all the boxes :

- Cheap
- Knows the players
- Will do what those in charge tell him because he knows he's happy to have the job
- Won't demand a massive transfer budget

Dec/Jan of 3 years all over again.
