SCIAG Adkins. I really didn't like Poyet's Brighton, they didn't seem to have much respect, like Leeds-lite. I understand Poyet moved on one of the major trouble makers, but still, I value fair play and sportsmanship and stuff. I'm almost as proud of our disciplinary record under Coppell as I am of the achievements.

Still hoping for Dolan to change his mind, or Nas Bashir or someone along those lines to come in. Would even take Pards back if Newcastle get rid.

So you would rather have Nas Bashir recently sacked by Hayes & Yeading than Gus Poyet ?

LOL

We could of course end up with neither of them, and instead get some European you've never even heard of.

Stale Solbakken anyone?

As stated previously Adkins was worse than Brian.

Poyet every time. (He used to live round the corner in Ascot as well, so knows the area)

This would be the Poyet who presumably by your definition of whether Adkins is better or worse than Brian, is worse than Adkins?

Allegedly, he's staying at Brighton...so will Adkins take it knowing that a) he's second choice and b) he forfeits any compo from his sacking from Saints?

Personally, I don't think Poyet was anywhere near close to ever taking the job...

Where does it matter whether he squeezes cash out of Saints or gets it from us? He's certain to get paid by us if he gets the job. I'm not sure managers are likely to give a toss about possibly not being first choice. If they get the job and they're interested they'll take it.

My favourite Nigel is probably Benn. Adkins is somewhere between Powers and Reo-Coker.

Anyway, I'd like to change my vote to Adkins, as he looks less like a Koopa Troopa

Zingarevich promising a massive transfer budget? What, like he did this season? I'm hoping he is serious this time though and perhaps he is, as he seems to have now started stamping his authority on the club.

I'm not sure I'd want Poyet as manager, I would much rather have Adkins. Poyet doesn't have the proven track record that Adkins does and has less experience. I don't think Poyet will leave Brighton anyway, not when we are looking odds on to go down. Plus, Brighton have a decent chance of going up via the playoffs and could be swapping leagues with us by next season. Remember when Wolves wanted McDermott as manager last season? He didn't want to leave us to go there, not only because the clubs were heading in opposite directions, but because of what he had built at Reading and the relationship he had with the club. Poyet has something similar with Brighton, (granted, Wolves were looking more doomed than we are, and we were in a better position to go up than Brighton are now) but still, its a similar situation.

Hardly a surprise that Poyet stayed. Would be cnutish to walk out when they're on the verge of the play-offs IMO. Good luck to them I hope they do it.

I think Adkins is better equipped to get us back up at the first attempt anyway although I'd have loved Poyet here.

Why are people assuming Adkins is sloppy seconds anyway? For all we know Adkins has been interviewed already & they are working their way through the candidates.

Should have added the 'neither of them want to come anyway' option.
