Good game tbh, shame the commentator on MUTV is dire.

Aaron Kuhl looks a little like Jay Tabb on the grainy stream I have

TTBA I dont know whether to laugh or cry when I hear stuff like that. The problem with English football over the years has been the exact opposite of what you claim

The problem for English football has been focusing entirely on physical ability to the detriment of skill.

It's fallacy that big strong athletic people can't be skillful as well.

Just had a close up on Kuhl, and he looks nothing like Tabb.I apologise for my earlier comparison.

Even United's academy get Fergie time. Never 4 extra minutes in that.

impressive performance, even without uche.
Pereira the stand out player for ManU.
Fosu-Henry could be very good.
Is Kelly younger than the rest? He looks younger. Very good on the ball, regardless.
Future looks good.

Kuhl is a future captain, and tbh didn't look a mile off being ready for the seniors.

Does anyone know if the final stages remain behind closed doors?

We only need a point to qualify for the final stages.

Permanent I think. Apparently he's traveled with their first team squad to Italy on a pre-season tour.

Surprised/disappointed, but at the same time he didn't look remotely close to being ready for first-team football at Champ level so if Watford have offered him that then good luck to him.

Assuming we'll get compo.

Permanent I imagine. His contract expired this summer and we did offer him pro terms but opportunities to break through into the first team aren't immediatly obvious. If Reading were that concerned about keeping him, I'm sure we could have.

The opportunity to be in and around a first team would have been a strong lure and as I said last time I spoke about him, he has strength and an eye for goal, usually the latter through using his strength to create opportunities. He isnt' the fastest so he'll need to work hard to be able to hone the abilities he has, as when he came up against physical youth defenders (e.g. Stephen Arthurworry - Fulham) he was invisible. He's done well at youth levels bullying his way through against smaller defenders, so massive test for the lad coming up.

Watford are a Category 3 academy, but keeping the Harefield Academy and with the links to Udinese and Granada they're still attractive so.. yeah.

We win some, we lose some. In this case we've lost a lad showing a lot of potential but no doubt we'll manage to poach a few good youngsters from other clubs too.

Good luck to him.

I don't understand this move at all. He was outstanding last season. He battered Chelsea and was getting rave reviews. Not earning another contract or being released, it just doesn't make sense to me. Watford have got themselves an absolute bargain, and whilst he still has it all to do in terms of developing and getting his head down, if he does he will be an exceptional striker for them and off to the Premier League in a few years for big money. He's got all the attributes to be an top striker if he works hard for it.
