Unbelievable Jeff
2 world wars, 1 world cup McAnuff 8 excellent excellent performance all over the place. One of the only players who looked like doing anything for us.

I really fail to see why a lot of people are rating McAnuff so highly? I thought he was very average today bar a couple of runs.
His decision making was poor, he missed placed many passes and failed to capitalise on a few chances

were you watching the same match mate?
really do not understand why so many mongs hate jobi.

I thought he had a good game, but he did rather annoyingly try to "buy" two penalties instead of getting the cross in.

Thought he tried to buy one, the other he oxf*rd up, lost his balance (I think he kicked the defender's leg possibly) and tried to make the most out of that once he realised he'd screwed it up. Maybe I'm biased though.

Guthrie is also a recipient for a large portion of the site's abuse too.

I liked that quick free kick we did, caught Liverpool by surprise completely, shame there was no end product.

PieEater
Liverpool fans were a disgrace with their flares, firecrackers and over loading the front area, I bet they can't see the irony of that on the 24th anniversary of Hillsborough.

I'm sure this will not be reported in the press, it was very poor taste.

Those saves just got better and better the more times I saw them. Some of them he actually made them look a bit routine.

The remembrance for the Hilsborough tradegy was impeccably observed by everyone in the ground and rightly so. However the behaviour of a minority section of Liverpool fans today during the game was a disgrace and if I was part of the hilsborough families group I would not only be embarrassed but also fu cking angry. If they think they are honouring the 96 football fans that lost their lives by jumping around, cramming too many people in aisles and cheering a persons death then I dont want hear a single word about it from them again.

I know there are Liverpool fans reading this, please have your say?

I would say that the idiots jumping around looked about 17 so probably have no idea of what the Tory government did or stood for in the 80 s anyway.

As others have previously stated, it was not a minority of Liverpool fans singing vile songs today, it was more like 90% of them.

Unlike Liverpool's fans, I was proud of the behaviour of Reading fans today. We showed respect to the Hillsborough victims with the silence and a 'Justice for the 96' chant.
But we also showed our disapproval of some of the vile behaviour in the away end, mostly by booing over their most disgusting chants. It would have been too easy to stay silent for fear of being branded 'Tory scum' or whatever but it's our oxf*rd stadium in our oxf*rd town and I think I speak for most when saying that we do not want to be associated with that kind of behaviour.

"Always the victim, it's never your fault" chants were thoroughly justified IMO. Liverpool fans may not have killed anyone at Hillsborough but they certainly did at Heysel.
Supposedly 'mourning' the deaths of their own fans one minute and then in party mode celebrating the death of someone else the next minute, is this the behaviour of a moral person?

If ever I see such behaviour from Reading fans, then oxf*rd it, I'm off and not coming back.

I had Waitrose tickets for this one and was sat on the barrier against the Liverpool fans and can only really echo what other people have said - their failure to see the irony in following a memorial for those killed through poor crowd safety with letting off fireworks and surging was baffling. Albeit, the noise and such they made was one of the better decibel levels this season, but again the fact that people celebrating the death of a politician (regardless of your views on her) were louder than most cheer their side on says quite a lot about how little passion the larger teams bring to Mad Stad, and again, the somewhat slanted moral stance of Liverpools finest. And, truth be told, those fecking bangs scared the life out of me, I nearly shat myself the first time.

I'd moaned about how the Sponsor tickets tend to be right behind goal and uninteresting before the game, but could not have been more wrong - got to see the McCarthy masterclass up close and it blew my mind. The highlights don't even do justice to how fast he was, absolutely brilliant. I also thought Morrison was a trouper today, by the end he was essentially 'walking wounded' but he made some vital blocks (as well as that awful pass in the first half). Really pleased with the whole side, even those who are technically less able were giving it absolutely everything, and it was a relief to not see people getting on their backs when things went wrong. I know it's the hope that gets you, but a little bit of me still thinks MAYBE we could do it? Surely not, but maybe? Someday, a team in our positions gonna pull it off against all odds... I'd go nuts. Failing that, assuming we dont get picked apart in the summer, I think we have a team ready to compete at championship, and in a strange way would love to see McDermott V Adkins part 2 next year.

Actually looking at all the saves again, McCarthy either didn't know anything about them, the shots were straight at him or too slow. Main standout pint was his poor distribution.

Feds back please.

If a big club comes in for him and offers silly money, say £10m+, would you rather keep McCarthy, or take the money and reinvest in the squad? Genuine question.

Genuine question - what justice are Liverpool fans still campaigning for?
