I like the Pog, but I think his future lies elsewhere - and we can use the wage money better.

He can hold the ball up well (when he isn't trying to buy a free kick due to there being no-one to lay it off to...)
He can dribble (when he get's his head up...)
And he can finish (when he gambles on the service arriving...)

He has looked quality at times, but due to the way we played under Brian I think those times have been few and far between, and I don't see Adkins changing his preferred style of play to suit Pog. NA liked a more dymanic pairing at Southampton, that included Lambert as someone who could drop deep to hold it up and then be quick enough to get in the box to head the ball, alongside someone pacey like Rodriguez who can run the channels.

Pog is different and i see him workign best with an old fashioned number 10 who can work off him and feed him through on goal.

I just don't see how he easily fits in to a strike partnership - which is surely how we'll play in the Championship.

Uke More the fact that you want to bin a team that had been proven to play together to fit a player who can't play with the established team

Pog should FIFO - either on his own accord or by being sold

We build teams, not galacticos at RFC

Hope Pog stays, our best striker by some distance. He'd be a gr8 asset in the Championship, which is a terrible league.

:)

He's had 10 months so far to fail to deliver, there are too many people on here blinded by the price tag of Pog and his 'previous' desparate to keep him so he can "come good". Currently he has all the makings of the next Kevin Doyle.

You can hear them all in the stands talking about his playing - "Isn't it grand! Isn't it fine! Look at the cut, the style, the line!"

I was going to +1 this until I started to suspect he wasn't being satirical.

I think there's value in the work even if it comes from a faulty position of not rating Pog.
