LoyalRoyalFan
winchester_royal Not that I really care, but this obsession with putting down the current Reading manager in favour of the current Leeds manager is most peculiar.

No different to your obsession with tarnishing the image of a great servant to this football club.

Wrong.

Show me where, in the last 3 months, I've written anything derogatory about Bri, or tried to put down his achievements in any way. I believe it was the right decision to part ways, but I don't belittle what he did here and I certainly don't get any satisfaction from tarnishing his place in our history.

You can try to make out as the villain here as much as you like, but the fact is that most of us just want to move on while fondly remembering Brian's successes here. It's the likes of you, gloating every time things don't go so well, that keep dragging this sorry mess back into the limelight.

Tbf to winchy_baby he is relatively mild with the hating of McD even though you can tell he has a massive dislike for him and derides him at every turn. His hate can be defined by snide little remarks the most prominent being 'style of play'.

Roy Lee on the other hand hates him and Sir Steve Coppell with a passion for what reason only people who are a raving, Brendan Rodgers loving, assclown could understand. Real Reading fans appreciate them for what they did for the club and I'm sure they know that.

Can't believe he said that. No doubt he'll deny it despite the irrefutable evidence.

Dunno but he was giggling uncontrollably for a few minutes, and I'm sure I heard him muttering something about wanting to give Sandman a good seeing to, I didn't think anything of it at the time but...

I'm not as cheap as you Winchy and there's no way Ronseal Adkins could handle this handsome devil.

Royalee
LoyalRoyalFan The relegation is on the CV of Adkins, not McDermott.

Even if you split it in half, Adkins still has a far greater aggregate of promotions than relegations, but remind me where we were in the league when Brian was sacked?

About 24 places higher than when he took over.

21 actually as we weren't in the relegation zone when Rodgers was sacked. Although that's not strictly true as we were doomed already when McDermott was sacked. Don't let facts get in the way of a shit argument though.

Lots of hate out there, for an ex-Reading manager and for a current one - bizarre. Obviously none of you are real fans.

Incidentally, is it really easier to manage a league 1 title than a championship one? I mean, the players/money you have at your disposal is going to be depreciated in the lower league so I'd imagine it's not particularly easier.

As for comparing Brian's and Nigel's success, no time like the present - seems to me they are both pretty good, not much between them. Must admit though, while we aren't there yet I much prefer our playing style and the future it could give us but that's just personal preference and speculation.

Bit off topic though, isn't all this?

What argument? You asked the question, I answered it. Although, as you correctly point out, Brian left us 21 places, not 24, higher than when he joined us. (Although I did say "about". Surely 3 places out - 12% - is "about". Anyway, so we don't argue you can have your 21 places!)
