Royal Lady Who is going in goal Dickie boy?

Oh, you senile old bint.... I didn't say this was a team, merely those I would keep (and assuming McCarthy will be cashed in and Skippy will hop off.)

Clearly, unless any of the young'uns can step up we need a couple of keepers, left and right back cover, a centre half (depending on where is best for Hector), a complete midfield and a couple of strikers.

I look forward to the Janitor reeling in free transfers that he will mould in to a team with passion, ambition and joie de vivre [that's for Luxers], as we romp to the title with a team of predominantly untried and untested youff with an average age of less than 22.......

Seems strange not to keep at least one of McCarthy, Federici, Andersen or Taylor. Given chances are we'd have to spend a fair amount to get in someone of any quality in transfer or signing on fees.

Why not just keep one and spend that money elsewhere.

Want to see leave =

The Pog (wages and does not justify them with performances)
Alf (not consistent enough and wages)
Guthrie (time to move on, not done a lot except moan)
One of the keepers (prob McCarthy for a good fee)
Blackman (not sure what he is supposed to do)
Bridge (past it)
Gorks (time to say cheerio)
Drenthe (wages and he doesn't put in enough effort)
HRK (disappointing)

Who do I think will leave in addition (who I really do not want to lose)

Obita (class and almost certain to be snapped up by PL club)
McCleary (good enough for the PL)
Williams (good enough for the PL)

I suppose if we get in a new owner he might persuade one or two to stay. If not I can see a load leaving. The problem might be that we find it hard to move the Pog on etc (large wages) some still have long contracts. A lot need to go to allow NA to rebuild properly and to bring in who he wants. A lot will decide on the ownership. New owners might decide to move NA on (would please some dummies on here) I still hope he might be able to bring in some footballing players. This season has been a let down. However. the academy is great and something to be proud of.

Bandini
SPARTA I really can't agree with anyone that wants Adkins out.

But if we sack him and bring back McDermott we'll win more games. Don't you want to win more games?

No and even more definitely not whilst the current ownership fiasco continues.

So I'll start with just two to go - our two wantaway owners - and then form a judgement on the rest based on budgets available etc.

Dave-Royal No one Keep Same players But get in 6 players in to rebuild

We're already running at a loss, to bring in players we'd have to sell. The Russian twat allowed us to break our usual wage structure and then proceeded to bugger off so in reality the high earners need to go.

Assuming Roberts has already gone and the Carrico deal is done
Adkins, does not impress me one bit. I despair at his team selection some times and his substitutions?????
Pog
Akpan
Blackman
HRK.
I also think we will cash in on Mcarthey and I wouldn't be surprised if Alf were to join Brian if he manages to stay at Leeds.

Exactly Ian - no point getting rid of a good keeper to then have to pay in excess to get another one in. And he calls ME the senile one. SMH.

Just hope we can get rid of Pog & Drenthe. Both have done OK, but obviously, terrible value for money.

And hopefully we can get some money for either McCarthy or Feds

Roberts should take roughly 20k off the wage bill

Would be fuming if we give Gorkks another deal.

Its hard to judge Drenthe because he hasn't really had much of a run in the team

He certainly wouldn't be in my top 5 to go

1) Gorkss -contract
2) Roberts -contract
3) Carrico -sold
4) Ledge -contract
5) Jobi -contract
6) Bridge -contract
7) Cummings -contract -I think
8) Stuart Taylor -contract
9) Jake Taylor -contract
10) D'Ath -contract
11) Denthe - Offer to clubs for free if it gets his wages off our wage bill.
12) Pog -as above
13) HRK - I thought he'd push on after last season but he's worse than ever and on more money than ever-try and sell
14) McCarthy -Sell, probably one of our only true saleable assets with ALF.
15) ALF -Sell, time is done here.
16) Kelly - try and sell.
17) Feds -high earner so try and sell
18) Blackman
19) Guthrie - Sorry, should have been further up the list. High earner so try and sell.

I'd keep the rest.

Gunter
Pearce
Morro
Hector -Only new contract offer out of all the out of contract players
Obita -Only as a left back, he's not a winger.
Mcleary
Jem
Williams
Hope Akpan -I don't think he's that bad

I think that's it. Obviously this won't happen but I think it should. No doubt no one will buy the Pog or Drenthe so we'll be lumbered with their wages for another season.

I would promote a lot of the under 21's and then bulk it with lower league hungry players and free transfers.

Pretty much agree with that W&E, but I might put Gunter up for sale as well, and keep Cummings. Gunter is a more saleable asset, and I don't think there's a huge difference between the two (Gunter probably better going forward, but Cummings a bit stronger defensively?).

Add Mikkel Andersen to the get rid list, unless he wants to be the regular number 2 behind any of our first three. Would be happy to keep Stuart Taylor if he's quite cheap.

The players I would like to leave are -

Pogrebnyak (wages, and has been poor)
Kelly (wages, and has been poor)
Leigertwood (past it)
McAnuff (past it)
Gorkss (past it)
Federici (because of his wages, the fact we can't have two top keepers for another season and I would prefer to keep McCarthy) (unlikely I know)

I know that is six players but I wouldn't be too sad to see Drenthe and Guthrie be joining them as they are both high earners and have underperformed. However if we are somehow in the PL they are two players I would probably want to keep, whereas the others I want out no matter what.

I'd like to see the following go.

Arnold, Bridge, Carriço, D'Ath, Kelly, Le Fondre, Gorkss, Partridge, Pearce, Robson-Kanu, Taylor, Taylor

I'd somewhat reluctantly expect the following to leave, but get over it.

Drenthe, Guthrie, Leigertwood, McCarthy, McAnuff, McCleary

I wouldn't be too fussed if these left, if replaced.

Andersen, Morrison*,

I'd like to see the club see these as our priority for next season.

Akpan, Blackman, Cummings, Federici+, Gunter, Hector, Karacan, Obita, Williams.

I'd like to be able to assess Edwards properly before seeing - not convinced he'll make it sadly.

*love the guy, but as a player I always find him disappointing.

+for one more season unless we recruited well.

I'd also want to see the focus continue on priming the youth players for the first team.

Christ, when out of a whole squad the only 5 first team players you really like are Blackman, Gunter, Hector, Obita and Williams it's pretty oxf*rd.

His record at Leeds would dispute that statement.

Yeah, good luck. Who on earth is going to buy Pog or Guthrie?

They couldn't even play well in the championship.
