Sorry - but what does the team's performance have to do about whether or not he's a nice guy?

I know plenty of perfectly people who'd probably make shit football managers.

Likewise I know plenty of people who chat utter shit about football but are perfectly nice people.

And have you ever considered that he defends the players/performances because he'd rather not destroy them in public?

He comes across and is, indeed, arrogant when being interviewed. Very few Reading fans will get to meet him or watch him having a haircut in Winchester. What counts is how he communicates with those who pay his pages when he's at work.

Never said he was doing a good job - I just think that the personal insults are inaccurate and pretty needless tbh. You anti-Nige lot have plenty of ammunition to fire at him with regards to the football on show, why base insults on his character which you can't possibly know anything about?

This isn't me leaping to his defence, and as I have said on plenty of occasions over the past couple of months I am completely apathetic when it comes to whether he stays or goes - I just thought I'd let you guys know what people round here think of him.

Yep, thought of as a genuinely decent bloke round here. Was in a barbers the other day and it turns out our Nige has his hair cut there and they couldn't have been more complimentary about him.

It's crazy that anyone can slag Adkins personality off when they clearly have not met him in person. On no less than 3 occasions I've spoke to him and I think he's an even nicer bloke than Coppell, Pardew and McDermott were. He seems to be really happy at the club and seems to care a lot about it and the fans.

Though I don't know him well or what he is like to our players, he does give me a sense that maybe he isn't hard enough on players who are underperforming. I could never see that guy going mental at the team. Maybe I'm wrong but all I can say is he definitely seems passionate about his job here and everytime I've seen him he acknowledges and chats a lot to me.
