Reading have been forced to play a weakened team by the ridiculous fixture gods.

One of the most important games in our history on Monday have we have to play a game 2 days before.

Stupid.

If we get fined send me the bill and I'll pay it.

Royal Ginger Noticing a pattern in the commentary.

Good pass from Karacan
Blackman receives the ball in the box
Heavy touch allows Watford to clear.

4-1. If i worked for Bournemouth or Boro i'd be on the phone to the Football League.

The FA and FL have cocd this one up royally. Insisting on the replay being played on Monday has set this up. They wouldn't have a legal leg to stand on if they tried to do anything about us fielding a 'weakened' team.

In the interest of fair competition, shouldn't the Football League have done more to re-arrange this game?

What's unfair about it? Bradford have played Saturday, Tuesday, Saturday, just like us.

Fair with regards to other teams, for example the teams also going for promotion and with regards to Bradford, the teams in the relegation fight as Notts County have gained a point they otherwise may not have gained.

Much better/experienced/whatever teams have been absolutely hammered by Watford this season. So who cares.

Got 2 of my judas bets. Karacan ruined my Watford by 4 or more though.

If we win on Monday then (barring the brave 1000 who went to watch today) no one will complain about today. Nice work Clarke.

In other news, Wigan win their 4th away game in a row. now they have Rotherham in their sights , if only they could win at home too

To put it in perspective, promotion challengers Ipswich also lost 4-1 today.

Mike Hunt
urz13 Watford were 5/6 with some bookies earlier today. As soon as I heard that the players on the team bus were mainly U/21s I stuck £60 on a Watford win - easiest £50 I'll ever make!

 Nailed on Reading or Draw now.

Agree with Clarke's approach but dispels his contention that the League's the priority!!!

And pigs fly.

Anderson - 6 distribution was pretty poor
Keown - 6 needs to bulk out a bit, was getting out muscled too easily
Knight - 7 looked pretty solid
Cooper - 7 looked pretty solid
Travner - 6 was going down far too easily and always looking for a foul
Stacey- see Keown
Guthrie - 3 complete waste of space, middle 2 gave defence no protection
Akpan - 4 see Guthrie
Taylor - 5 got in some good positions but touch and final ball was awful
Cox - 5 offered very little
Yakubu - 5 see Cox

Blackman - 6 looked more dangerous than Cox or Yak
Karacan - 8 scored a great goal and played well, broke it up well in midfield and spread the play well

Overall a bad day out, but worth pointing out that if the ten changes it was our more experienced players that were poor, youngsters played ok.

Centre backs solid?!?!?!

Cooper had the worst game he will ever have. Poor guy got an ironic cheer for passing to his own player and you say solid?! Knight headed the ball in ever direction but the one he should have, was never once in control of his legs either. Shambles. Poor Keown needed help with Deeney and forrestieri and got NONE!

Guthrie looked a proper player, sliding into tackles, looking for passes, just a bit rusty.

Karacan looked good, very happy for him.

Blackman was poor but much better than cox. amazing.

Taylor was very poor too.

Stay a little overawed but grew into the game.
