More than a shame. Awful news. There really isn't cover that's anything like his standard
I predict a downturn in form
In fact I may stop going until the New Year!

Yes the thought of games v Bristol City, Fulham, Leeds and Norwich without Swift about the place are quite imposing....

He's played quite well so far. A good driving run forward and just had a solid 20 + yard shot destined for top corner well saved. Ball retention and distribution decent as well.

Swift looks good tonight.

He does well when he has players close to him making little runs. I would have liked to see Abraham start tonight. I think Swift and Abraham link up well when they play together. They have good chemistry.

Faded a tad I felt. Guilty of giving the ball away cheaply with a few flicks that didn't come off - as the commentator said, they look great when they come off. Was quite close a couple of times to getting a goal from crosses, one which an outstretched leg wasn't enough to make contact, and another which got a deflection and maybe took it away from him a bit as he was coming in at the back post - though he still probably should have taken it on his left rather than opening his body up.

Overall a decent performance.

I'm slightly concerned for next season, we saw what the Gold Cup did to G Mac and I'm worried Swift will suffer from burnout too.

He's wasn't great in the last few games of the season for me. I trust Jaap will be aware of this and will have enough depth to keep Swifty fresh across the season

Not convinced.

Swift was pretty shit after his injury. I think with him perhaps more than others confidence is such a huge part of his game and he just needs regular football, the more the better. He's young ffs and let's be honest, it's not like intensity is really part of his game.

He'll be fine.

Swift was poor in the last few games because of the system/tactics and nothing else. When he plays in a diamond or 4-3-3 and has lots of players moving up the pitch with him and attacking the opposition then that is when Swift is at his best. During our play off campaign we were extremely defensive minded and didn't throw bodies forward to support the attack. That is when Swift struggles. You need powerful runners from midfield like Danny Williams when playing those tactics. You need people who can break forward. Strikers like Shane Long and wingers like Gilkes or Kebe.

Yeah I think the extra games and the exposure from the tournament will do him good and help his confidence

He had a long break mid season and I'm hoping he'll be back to last years early season form come August

He showed some really good touches in the most recent game and appears to have regained his old confidence. He has massive potential.
