Hendo
Mid Sussex Royal Joao was at Bearwood today so hopefully rules out something serious.

Do they not have treatment facilities at Bearwood?

Or injury record would suggest they don't!! etc...

Snowflake Royal There's a fair few injuries where they'd be fine to drive I'm sure.

For example, you can walk perfectly normally on a sprained ankle, but you couldn't play.
is walking the same as driving ?
Whether the club would take the risk of a valuable asset getting behind the wheel when injured I’m not convinced. If they had an accident the insurance company might ask a few questions too ! Immediately after the game they tend to be cautious with diagnosis and if they weren’t in boots or going for a scan but we’re driving they have hopefully been assessed as just being wimps.
But the point that any injury they might have would seem likely to be minor still holds.

No of course walking is not the same as driving. It's an example of how an injury that can stop you playing sport allows you to function in other ways normally still.

I do know people who have driven with sprained ankles though.

You could drive with something like fractured ribs. A fractured wrist. All sorts of things.

It probably is minor, it's only described as hobbling afterall But driving isn't the proof of that.
I know someone who drove with a snapped Achilles’ tendon, not sure it was a good idea ! There is a big difference between what you could theoretically do and what in reality is possible /sensible. Cracked ribs would be really daft.

Seems reasonable to suggest a pro athlete might not be allowed to drive with a recent leg injury but always good to make an argument of it :-)

Seen a gif of Joao jarring his knee on Saturday. I hope it's not as bad as it looks

Given his injury record it`s very probably worse.

I have given up on Azeez
He is far too brittle for professional football

Fergy same as Dann and Joao, (2 months)

So that`s 5 potential first teamers missing already for an unknown amount of time looking at our record.

Hutch is 2-3 weeks not Dann according to jlows post

Azeez - that’s poor. Agree with zip and also wasn’t that concerned about him not signing.

I said Fergy, got mixed up, no word on Tetek. Pince said 3 or 4 weeks until they are fit to start.

It is 2 or 3 weeks but given Ince told Dellor a couple of days ago Joao was touch and go for today I wouldn’t get your hopes up. It’s a big blow.

Yep agree. It’s a shame about Azeez, he could be so good but it’s starting look like his body can’t take the rigours of professional football which is a real shame for a young player. Am starting to wonder if a 2 year contract was a good idea, especially as our finances are so tight.
