There is no pace in this team at all. Shane Long is probably the quickest up front.....which says it all.

Ince, but he's defending. NGW, but WB on the bench. Meite and Long on the bench.

Ah Meite. Forgot him. Doesn't seem as quick as was though after his long term injury. GW needs to be on. Rahman offer nothing.

He's basically played upfront holding it up more up against CBs rather than running at full backs down the wing... I don't think he's lost much, if any, pace. Just not playing in a way that sees him running it as often.

Once were Biscuitmen We are just here for the gate receipts, thank you.

Be good to collect and get the extra midweek fixture though.

CountryRoyal This is really poor. Some good last ditch defending but it should be considering we aren’t attacking. Listen we’re going to lose but it would be nice to see us go for it a bit more. This attack v defence is pathetic. I hate Lee Dixon but he’s right, it does look a matter of time until they score. Then what?

I can only assume the plan is to keep it tight and as the game stretches later on, introduce some pace upfront in Meite / Azeez / Long.

But we know how good we are at stepping up having camped our box.

Saying that, had we played forward more, I think we'd already be losing.

United really can't fit another game into their schedule. Possibly why we're playing such a strong side (and the ability to rest players against Forest)

100% and I do understand it, I just don’t like it. I think we’re just as likely to sit back and defend all game only for a dodgy deflection or a flick or something and then it’s all been for nothing and a dull watch.

That being said, seeing how much space they have at times I thoroughly agree I think we’d already be losing.

Pince shouting “pass pass pass” late on when we actually had the ball.

He’ll be banging that home in his HT talk one would hope. So far we’ve looked no better than a plucky non league outfit.

A good battling display in that first half but Loum, please don't keep giving the ball away, it is difficult enough as it is.
At least there won't be a really embarrassing score line.

I’m not sure there’s that much you can do with such a gulf in quality. Picked a relatively attacking team just can’t get the ball off them

But overall not to bad really. Only a couple of comfortable saves for Lumley.

I’d just like to see more attacking intent, get in their half and try and play a bit but yeah it’s tough. They’re over us in a flash making it so hard to get out but the set up isn’t helping. No outlet at all so it’s going to keep coming back.

Self inflicted though. If they had won their Europa League group they wouldn't have the congestion.

Loum's first touch of the half is loose and gives it away. Needed a big game from him, and we've got the sloppy version.
