Probably the best I've ever seen any team player ever.

Webster750 All of these playing tonight will end up being worth £2-5m minimum. We don't need the likes of Holmes or Yiadom anymore. This is how we rebuild.

There will be injuries, suspensions, need for rotation, moments where playing back to back is too much for these guys. There is definitely room in the squad for our experienced players and perhaps time out of the firing line will help them recover and be in a better place to step in when they're needed.

Heard Man City are considering withdrawing from the cup competitions this year because they're scared of this team.

Brilliant first half!! The new Reading Way!! loving the effort and intensity....Wifi has been great up top and Abbey at the back was something else, the way he muscled their defender off the ball was like watching Sonko in his prime.

Tyler Bindon looks properly decent for someone that doesn’t look like a footballer, least of all a centre back.

Good performance from the youngsters but hard to fully gauge against what theoretically should be one of the easiest games of the season.

Also Ehib’s hold up play has been great, looks like Joao when he could gaf just when the more work rate.

Tongue in cheek comments aside, sounds like we are doing ok? Stats look promising

Obvs all set up for a late winner to go down 1-2

If there were one word to describe the difference with these youngsters compared the the dross we’ve been serving up for the god knows how long, it’s Intensity.

THAT'S how you play football.

I hope to god the 1st team are watching.

Hunger, desire, tenacious, driven, energy, fight, strength.

Best I've seen us play since before Stam!!

Let's not get too carried away, Cheltenham are really not that good and frankly look doomed to a fight to keep out of the bottom 4. Reading really need to be taking their chances, a one goal win might well be seen as something of a disappointment.

I cannot remember such a feeling of joy watching Reading.

Pace, strength, WORK-RATE, vision, skills, just everything.

IMO, even if this goes pear-shaped in the second half, Selles should consider these lads his core (plus this week’s incoming).

They are class as individuals, even classier as a team.

It won’t be long before the stands are going to be packed with Premiership scouts

I really, really enjoyed just how fukking fast our defence was coming back to clear that Cheltenham break.

Great to see

Hi Sutekh, oh i hear ya, however, after the crap we've been served up over the past five years this just seems like a breath of fresh air and a huge step in the right direction :D :D

I thought that was obvious with all the “we want a statement!”…. “Not that statement” shenanigans.

Lots of room for development, but there's a lot of ambition and intensity on display.

Loving Abbey standing doing nothing with the ball under no pressure to make the point midfield and attack that they might want to consider showing some movement.

Nice bits of interplay. Kelvin has great hold up play. Vickers has drifted in and out and needs to be managed with care, but he's produced the Oggy.

This Cheltenham side is pretty poor. Feel sorry for Southwood, no chance thanks to his defender.

If only someone had been saying we needed pace at the back, endlessly, for years.
