Finished 1-1. Bolton took the lead late on through Nolan and with 2 minutes to go the Koreans equalized.

Tilehurst Mike and another stretchered off

Ricardo Gardner with a recurring knee problem. Wasn't he out for a long time with a cruciate injury?

Although it's only three, perhaps four players different from the one that could be put out against united (Hahnemann, Murty, Hunt/Convey, Seol?)

I only posted that as I knew you'd be first to reply

You're right though, who cares. It will be a good chance to see kanu and if he's any good, seen him for the reserves a few times. Not bothered with result. Just want us to give a good account of ourselves.

I think the team has a good mixture.
Hopefully Kits will go from strength to strength as he didn't really get a chance last season. He will be like a new signing for us in a way.

Good to see Robson-Kanu getting the nod. This is how we might save ourselves money in the transfer market. If he develops it'll be great. If not, then nothing lost, really. Good luck, Hal!

Nice to see the highly-rated John Halls put his injury woes behind him and get a chance.
He had bags of potential at Stoke, came to Reading and disappeared. However, he must have been doing something right behind the scenes, or Coppell would have offloaded him, as we have seen so many times in the past. Remember Murty's troubles when he first arrived at the club? Let's hope John Halls does a Murty...
It's also good to see Bikey at the back. I think he will be a massive player for us this season. He's strong and quick. Alan Hansen was impressed and that says a lot in my opinion, even if I don't really like what Hansen has to say most of the time. He knows a good player when he sees one.

To save me looking it up, is Murty still injured?

No, but they said something about him not being quite 100% and the he will play against Lyon.

higher Very difficult to predict such games.Although a "friendly" tournament and a chance for pre season warm up there is a 2 million prize at stake so there should be a competitive edge of sorts!Just dont need any broken legs.
I will go for the 1-1 draw.

Bookies odds(bet 365):

Reading 15/8
Draw 9/4
River Plate 23/20

Seems the inclusion of Halls has rocked the gambling world!

Bookies odds (bet 365):Now
Reading 11/5
Draw 9/4
River Plate 6/5
