Born in Rotherham and the Millers remain my team.
Lived down here for last 12 years and both kids wanted to follow their local team - and what a journey it has been so far !

Born in Reading, brought up in Nettlebed, went to Uni in the Toon, spent 5 years working in Reading and London, coming back to Reading in three weeks from a strenuous 12 month holiday in Oz...

Oh no-one cares! :?

You could still go along and support your local non-league team aswell I would have thought when RFC don't have a game.

It is not as if you would be going to watch another league team. In a similar way I occasionally go and watch Colwyn Bay games in the Unibond...

Good to know that Wantage people might be going to Reading these days. When I was growing up there as a boy there were about three of us Reading fans while everyone else went to Swindon or Oxford (who were fairly new to the Football League then).
I got a lot of stick at school in those days as we were a poor team and Swindon and Oxford were having their moments of relative glory.
I guess I'm laughing now.

Born in Plymouth, brought up various RAF bases in UK. Cyprus. Parents settled in Bordon Hants, wanted to watch a local team. Sampled about 8/9 differnet teams in my first year back in England (and when I learnt to drive). Went to Reading V Hull - 1st game of the season 1991. We lost 1-0 but for some reason I was hooked.........
