Southbank Old Boy
West Stand Man That will be the QPR that is ahead of us in the league table then would it?

Or not?

Did you read the comments or just post drivel?

Neither Turns or I said they had put together a better squad than ours, Turns was just suggesting that we QPR were paying more than us and so we couldnt attract players

I was just suggesting that the fact they managed to sign a player that I think is one example of the quality of player that we should have been looking at shows that players are available if you want to bring them in

At a price....

What price?

They've not spent a lot in transfer fee's the last two seasons, and the best you could come up with in terms of wages included a lad they picked up playing park football

You really should go to bed earlier and stop posting so late as you just end up making a fool of yourself

This season they signed Mahon (rumoured to be 150k), Helguson (500k), Cook (approx 850k), Routledge (600k), plus a few loan signings

That price you talk about doesnt look to great does it?

floyd__streete on 15th March Sure, we had an excellent first half to the season. But I came out of a good many of those home hammering wondering just how we had beaten the likes of Swansea 4-0, Derby 3-0 for example.....we hadn't looked several goals better on the day,

Steve Coppell on http://www.readingfc.co.uk on 21st April Our form in the early season was false, we were getting big scorelines and I was thinking 'how've we done that'? It was a freakish run and we weren't earning the scorelines we received

To be honest it's those kind of statements which make me really like Coppell as a man. He's such an honest person. Listening to Nigel Clough's interview about tonight's game on the BBC was interesting to hear his views on Coppell when he was at Citeh. They all wanted him to stay - Clough and Coppell are very similar people in a lot of ways.

Will be sad to see Copps go - even if this season has gone pear-shaped.

Maybe it'll turn out to be ski-jump shaped... complete with hurtling off the end into the unknown without a clue how we're going to survive.

the current squad will not fulfil either criteria

Maybe that's the reason? As to how a team that could on it's day be so dominant in this league at the start of the season be quite so pitiful in 2009?

Since no one's answered or probably cares

It's the last time a Reading player scored from open play at the Madejski.

Doo doo doo dull and uninspiring

Being in the North and only really getting to away games I have a much more rosy picture of things then season ticket holders.

Home games watched: 3 - 0 1 2 2 5 1
Away games watched 4 - 2 2 0 5 3 8

Conclusion: Away games are much better!

I presume this is some sort of suicide cult.

I'd suggest the day after the play off second leg.
