Ian Royal Hadn't Ivar played for Coppell elsewhere anyway? Brentford link?

And what the dickens would that have to do with him instantly forging a new partnership with (IIRC) Adie Williams on the night?

SC: "Ivar, you have played for me before. So if you can just head crosses away, make tackles and mark your man as you did for me at Brentford that would be super. By the way - Ivar this is Adie".

Give Kebe a chance Floyd...he has hardly let the side down and has raw potential...he has hardly played in this country and so far has done ok.

Of course as all those not in the usual starting eleven have to earn their place according to SC. So until one of the regulars is injured the rest will have to wait their chance.

Kebe needs more time to flourish...

He already rips us defenses, just holds onto the ball too long.

SC's comments after Saturday's debacle would appear to indicate that he is considering some changes.

I hope that Pearce has a full game.

Alan Partridge Let's get him in now, why wait? The only reason I can think of is he plays Golbourne, that would be ok with me. If Hunt lines up at left back when we have 2 fit natural left backs available that would be utter nonsense.

You would think that playing a striker who hasn't scored a goal with his feet in a competitive match for over a year would be utter nonsense.

Yet Coppell still picks Doyle.

Didn't he score with his feet against Derby?

Or does that not count as competitive?

This is hardly the first time over the past couple of years that coppell has "hinted" that change to the first eleven, previously of course that hasn't happened, thus relegation last year. I really hope that this isnt another bland pointless statement and he does what he said. The young lads done well on Tuesday, and in all reallity Pearce, Karacan & Hunt N, should be certain starters, Henry looked well worth a try as well, however I believe he might just have to wait, would like to see him have 30mins on Saturday, and of course the other "reading Enigma" is Armstrong up to speed, used to the way Reading play etc.........for Saturday :-

USA
Rosenior
Pearce
Ingi
Armstrong
Kebe
Karacan
Harper
Hunt S
Hunt N
Doyle

Subs:-

Fed
Sonko
Henry
Cisse
Lita

At one point we made two or three changes (Bikey, Rosenior and Marek in) and went on a run of 4 or 5 games undefeated. Also see constantly changing the right winger and dropping our best performer because Shane Long scored.

Nope. When was the last time we needed to use the sub keeper?

Even if Coppell wanted to he couldn't field that side.

WR: Blackburn away, two years ago. Do you really want to risk injury or sending off? Remember what we did to Millwall, Nottingham Forest, etc.

For the amount of times you need a sub keeper I just don't think it is worth it. I would rather have additional outfield options on the bench. I would guess that we have NEEDED to use a sub keeper no more than 3 times in the past 7 or 8 years. A sub keeper is a waste of space of the bench.

Whereas two strikers and two centre backs/defensive midfielders aren't?

Why the Championship isn’t running with the 7 man bench is a mystery to me. The spare keeper does seem a waste of a substitute space 99.9% of the time. Always liked Warnock’s approach to this, knew he could rely on Jagielka to fill in if necessary. Any of our outfield players any good in goal?
