Sun Tzu
brendywendy if he raised his hands he has no chance of rescinding it
surprised at coppell to be fair

Of course he has. If it wasn't violent conduct then simply 'raising your hands' is not a red card offence !

There has been a suggestion that Souza actually instigated the incident and if Kebe raised his hands or pushed Souza away in self defence he's got no case to answer. There are loads of situations in which players raise their hands but don't get carded...

Have you watched the video?

Whoever said the Barnsley players didn't react is wrong

The player behind Kebe immediately runs at him to remonstrate after he's lashed out - tamely - at Souza. It doen't really matter who instigated it, the video on the official site shows Kebe swining an arm at a player moving away from him. Harldy self defence

Has any red card for violent conduct been overturned?

Fair enough

I can't remember what that one was like, seem to remember something like Lampard falling on him and putting a hand in his face as he was trying to get up though

Just watched the os clip a few times. Not entirely conclusive but it certainly looks like Kebe took a swing at Souza without connection. Not sure how the appeal will go but maybe there is more footage available to the FA. Can't blame RFC for challenging as a ban is already due so worth a try to be able to field your 1st choice eleven. If not then Henry should come in as a natural right winger replacement in our 4-4-2 formation and will recieve my best encouragement.

He agrees with the quoted post that there is definitely some reason why Reading are appealing for Kebe's red card to be rescinded...probably one of the listed points. He also agrees that we wouldn't treat it differently from Bikey's red card just for a laugh...as the quoted post also said.

HTH interpret anyone else's posts for those that are confused.
