Im sticking by Reading & Cardiff for the top 2. Not at all surpirsed we are favs now, we are the best placed team in the league. Think the value for Cardiff may have gone though.

Brum longer than three to one?

Looks a good bet. They've been utter pony so far apparently and are still sitting pretty. If that squad starts to perform to anything near its potential they'll finish top.

The quoted odds will reflect the team's run ins as well as form etc - last season I cannot recall Reading being amongst the three favs to go down as we had on paper the easiest run in of the sides down there.

I suspect the odds could change by the end of this month with Wolves playing Cardiff and Birmingham playing midweek against Palace next week - we will then have 2 games in hand on both them and Wolves.

It's therefore essential we win on Saturday.

I suggest the following ...

Drop Harper, Hunt and Lita ... had their chance ...

Bring in Matey, Tabb, N Hunt and recall Henry ...

I don't know, they looked pretty stupid when they lost a million over the Weymouth game at the weekend....

I'd assume most Royals fans have put their house on Swansea and Cardiff finishing first and second with Bristol taking the playoff spot,

QPR were favourites at the start of the season

Only because of stupid punters who were placing large bets on them purely because they had rich owners.

Exactly Wycombe. Odds aren't just a reflection of what is the most likely outcome, they also have to reflect the way the market is moving.

At the moment we've favourites and that might well be because enough money is coming our way because of other punters not looking to back the other teams.

Is the most obscure record in betting history on the cards here? Has a team ever gone so long as favourites whilst never actually topping the league? Could we take it to the last day, I wonder?

I would guess the fact that they lost it because they were offering odds based on incorrect facts is the issue. Lots of people knew Weymouth's first team weren't playing yet the bookies didn't reflect this in their odds. I'm sure they don't take much notice of what goes on at that level but in this case they did look stupid - not because they lost money but because they lost money through their own carelessness.

Max possible points, and points/game to get 90

101 2.21 Reading 6/4
100 2.17 Wolves 13/8
097 2.41 Birmingham 9/2
098 2.47 Cardiff 13/2
090 3.00 Swansea 40/1

Reading v Birmingham
Birmingham v Wolves
Cardiff v Swansea

all mean that those theoretical points can't be reached.

Wolves HAVE the points, and just 1 + 2 nasty games. Should they be favourites?

I don't see Cardiff accruing 37 from 15 = W13, or W12 D1 or W11 D4

To hit 90 we'd need 31 from 14 W10 D1 L3 or W9 D4 L1

IMO, despite their bad run, if Wolves could beat Birmingham they'd be my favourites for the title

These sides can no longer make 90

089 3.10 Bristol City 50/1
086 3.3 Ipswich 50/1
091 2.9 Sheff Utd 66/1
087 3.2 QPR 100/1
088 3.2 Burnley 100/1
089 3.1 Preston 150/1
086 3.3 Crystal Palace 200/1
