handbags_harris BTW, Liam Rosenior - the man has no discipline at all, and his ball-playing skills are mediocre at best. As someone quoted before, free headers falling to the feet of opponents, simple obvious laboured balls, rash challenges. I thought he should have been sent off last night and can consider himself lucky not to get a 3 (or is it 4) match ban. Makes you think doesn't it, that in nearly 2 seasons he's picked up probably as many bookings as Murty has in 11 years, and has been sent off twice to Murty's none.

TBF Handbags, Rosenior took one for the team with the potential red card. That was Bikey's fault.

I thought that was Jem who lunged in after Bikey's error...

Rosey does his bit for the team, the bookings stat isn't really relevant in that this season referees have waved cards quicker than 'bring it on' signs  and the sendings off would have probably been the same if Murts had been playing..the difference is the personnel and rash tackles or tackles for the team sometimes need to be made due to errors in the lead up...that's not Rosey's fault all of the time...

I was really annoyed when Rosenior got his booking. I thought that the tackle on Jem Karacan was far much worse than that one and yet the Norwich player didn't get booked - he was only warned.

Little - 6 weeks ago I said that he was past it and that this loan spell would sully the memories of him that we all have. I've seen nothing to make me change my mind since. He's certainly not playing right-wing as he's spending most of his time more towards the middle, and when the ball gets to him all momentum stops. His legs have gone so comprehensively that he's getting Rosenior to do all the running for him, and he's no way good enough to be both a full-back and a winger.

I could actually see us playing Little through the middle as a second-striker, if things got desperate. His touch and vision is still there.

But ... we were better with SHunt on ahead of him and that's telling something.

Who got booked when both Bikey and Rosenior clattered a player at the same time?

It was all about where on the pitch he was. the striker was perilously close to being clear of the last defender for the foul - it could have been a red. That would have been extremely harsh, but i've seen them given - especially in East Anglia.

You didnt go to Derby then? when he was the best player on the pitch...

I read somewhere that he got taken off because he had a hamstring injury. That possibly could have affected his performance and the reason why he was slow in getting back....

Pace wise, hamstring or not i doubt you'd notice the difference.

FWIW I thought we were in control until he went off, then struggled until Matejovsky came on. Little's not a right winger anymore but like Marek he does seem to give other players more confidence in possession. Irrelevant now because it looks like he's out for the next couple at least.

Other observations. Cisse did what he always does; covered gaps but gave the ball away too much. Karacan was excellent, not least because he closes the opposition down in their 3rd, something which is pivotal to the way we play when we're at our best. Kitson isn't lazy,if anything he's trying too hard and getting frustrated because it isn't coming off as he'd like. Bikey was a liability 1st half and outstanding 2nd half. Ditto Kebe.

Typical us really. Traces of genuine class, real potential and utter cluelessness all rolled into one.

Thoroughly enjoyed this game, great atmosphere, great company and great to see Long playing so well, being in the right places at the right times and finishing on target. Good to see the team passing the ball around and looking more confident especially after Matejovsky came on - did he turn the game, or was it already in our favour?

Carrow Road was packed and we only had a tiny corner of it. At times, the noise from the Norwich fans was deafening...until our first goal went in and then it was all us. I felt a bit sorry for them, after all it wasn't nice being relegated last year, but I enjoyed the celebrations too.

It was good to see the Green and Gold cards really boosted Norwich!!!! Made about as much of a difference as the crappy Be Loud boards we had in the past!!!!!

Nice to see that Brum gave out Clapper cards to their fans in Deceber and we won....Narch did it and we won.... let's hope the curse of these is tempted by Brum issuing them again for Sunday!!!!
