F**k, should of been listening. Sky sports news just kept showing clips of that d*ckhead Graham Murty playing golf and sayin how brendan rogers will be a great reading manager even though Murty got released and has absolutly so future with the club and he probs doesnt even know who brendan rogers is.

WHAT a pathetic set of fans they are.

This was posted on the Watford forums:

Reasons why Reading are the new Luton.

1) They feckin' cheat by scoring goals against us that don't actually go in the feckin' net.

2) They nick our fat, ugly greedy manager.

3) They try and look like QPR

4) They are cants

Murty knew Rodgers when Rodgers was a coach here you fukwit. (I'm assuming this is your post and not a copy and paste?) If not, oh well.

You do realise you bunch of utter hypocrites you were all saying the exact same sort of things when Pardew went to West Ham. 'Sideways step' 'gone for the money' 'wet sham (well maybe just spacey) but all the same sorts of things.

I can understand watford being annoyed and angry at the situation, manager saying he's committed just like McGhee and Pards did and then days later walking out. Sure the circumstances in all 3 cases changed late on with late approaches from other clubs but even so as fans we don't see it that way. We see it as they want to stay and then they walk out. In 99.9% of cases for more money.

From Reading's point I'm happy we've got a young enthusiastic manager in charge and already Reading to me seems a much more appealing place to go and watch football. towards the end of last season it was actually a chore going up there, I didn't enjoy a single game of 2009 at the MAdejski with COppell's fading team. Now I feel there is some energy and some change in prgoress. Made no secret that I'd have preferred Ferguson simply due to his 2 promotions but even so I'm more than happy with Rodgers. Can understand the appointment completely.

The one other positive is that usually Reading v Watford games are absolute rotters in front of crap quiet crowds, I can see it being Reading West Ham style next season which should be great. Only difference is this time we are the 'cants'.

I can not believe that some people are completely unable to spot how very different the circumstances are!! In contrast to West Ham, RFC actively entirely above board and within the provisions of Rodgers' contract, as did Rodgers himself. Unlike Pardew, Rodgers did not stand in front of a load of supporters at a fans forum and state to them all that he loved the club and wanted to be with it for a very long time. As for Rodgers professing his ongoing commitment to Watford, I don't believe that he has ever done so in public. Instead we have the Watford Chairman claiming that is what Rodgers had done in a meeting between the two of them. That does sound familiar to the McGhee situation. But, IIRC, McGhee subsequently disputed the version of events that was put into the public domain. What's more the Watford Chairman, having moaned about Rodgers is quoted gloating with glee at the amount of money Watford have got out of RFC, given that Rodgers was only with them for seven months!!! So just who is being hypocritical.

Of course Watford fans are upset at losing the manager that ensured their survival in The Championship when many of them were already reconciled to the drop. Whilst understanding their disappointment, trying to portray the circumstances as being the same as those involving Pardew and McGhee is outright dishonest and/or plain stupid!

Anyway, the many Watford fans I know can't complain. At the time he was appointed I told them that Rodgers would keep them up but that he was only getting work experience prior to taking over from Steve Coppell when he left at the end of the season! No crystal ball involved, just bleeding obvious!!

Not with you on this RB. Football fans view it in black and white terms. They expect the manager who joined them just seven months ago to stick with them and not jump ship as soon as a more favourable opportunity arises.
Reading fans would respond just like Watfords have had the roles been reversed. If you cannot see that you do need to remove your blinkers.]

I assume these Watford fans will not want their board looking at any candidates currently employed by other clubs.

Gibbs and Bibbo were confirmed as staying by the club, so they can fook off, or indeed could up some of their compo lol.

No. Gibbs and Bibbo were said be staying with us. Watford were rumoured to want Gibbs as manager before BR left. And now the rumours are kicking into 2nd gear.
