Alan Partridge Chronic says he went up to Wolves yesterday for talks. Nothing about a fee being agreed.

floyd__streete The departure of Harps would register a pffff on the richter scale for me. Would far rather see a midfield involving Karacan, Marek and Tabb.

LoyalRoyalFan I don't know why everyone thinks Nicky Bailey is a good player. If he was any good he would of contributed more to the Charlton team that got relegated last year. Besides, it would be worth our while to keep Harper. This is a player who has given 110% to the club over the past 8 years. A great person to have in the dressing room.

Royalee LOL, slightly different - proven England international who's had injury problems signing on a pay as you play deal and Redknapp signing one of Newcastle's better players. Jerome Thomas was hardly a fans' favourite at Pompey.
Also, if the first thing you use to describe a player is 'always gives 110%', it usually means they offer nothing apart from effort - see Andy Hughes, Stephen Hunt and so forth. I'd much rather have someone who I remember for more than 'trying his best' given the money footballers are on - I could put in '110%', doesn't mean I'd be anywhere near good enough to pull on a blue and white hooped shirt.

Although famously he doesn't drink.
Prolly why he's so scared of tackling. Would be fearsome with 5 pints of Stella coursing through his body.

100% agree with this. I never understood why when we were in the Premiership the media didn't figure out that he's the funniest guy in football bar none.brendywendy absolutely gutted by this news......
but not for footballing reasons, just sentimentality
harps is a legend, one of my favourite ever players, and an integral part of the 106 legends team.
but ive been wondering how he fits in here, especially under rodgers, with all the kids, and other options in the middle.
i can see this being a good move for him-perhaps the change will sort him out, he has been off colour for a season or two.
but ill miss the lad, his attitude, workrate and his wonderful eyebrows.
that goal vs liverpool will last long in my memory.
ill certainly buy him a pint if ever i see him again out and about in the bars and clubs of our town.
sniff
